8 snipers in 1 team, problem solved. You’re gonna lose any way, but at least you pissed the Phantom off and probably after several games like that, they’ll stop playing phantom.

And he’s invisible in a fast paced game. Let’s not forget the extent to which invisibility kills game balance in every game it shows up in.
I agree its less fun playing against the phantom class… I just can’t counter it when it gets close ur screwed and you hardly see it coming. Also the beepy sound is just the signal that u missed it and ur dead.
If they wont remove it then meh… at least make it slower it moves so freaking fast cloaked…
As a Vassili user i have to agree. Before i was throwing sensors near the objective helping the team deal with the opponent, now i have to throw it behind me so i don’t get backstabbed by an invisible piece of ****
I don’t think i’ll as much as i played before, and surely not before phantom goes away (including the dreadest free trial on the next switch).
My biggest gripe from playing with/against Phantom is the cool down on his cloak.
I think it only takes 5 seconds to regenerate from fully depleted. It’s even quicker when you’ve still got left energy left . I was able to drop my cloak with around 1/3 left and only had to wait 2-3 seconds for it to charge up. IMHO the cool down needs an increase.
I know some have mentioned about the melee attack. I did notice I was hitting some Mercs when by all rights I should’ve missed.
I also recognise people have mentioned about his HP. I think with a longer cool down on the cloak his 120HP wouldn’t be so much of an issue.

Maybe they should add 2 sec to the cool down AND make it so it goes on a full cool down if you start the cloak
@Redcap Make Phantom the other merc that can detect. Take away a little bit of his HP, make the shield stronger to balance it out, and make him able to “tag” targets that he hovers over for 1-2 seconds. And maybe make Phantoms slightly more visible to other Phantoms? Not sure about that last bit though!
- His cloack need to be nerfed a lot. As it is now it’s just not fair
- Yes, i don’t think i’ll play much nor now neither when he’ll be in the free rotation. Or until he get nerfed

Let’s see. Invisibility. Then what, a katana that can kill 1/3 of the classes with 1 hit and have a huge range. Then you have a cloack that soak up ton of damage. Even if you unload your whole magazine on him (while cloacked) you can’t kill him and 9/10 you end up being sliced to death. Seem all legit and perfectly balanced to me, yep.
I’m glad you feel that way because phantom is the most toxic merc I’ve seen so far.

I really love DB for its unique gunplay. Ive been playing ET heavily and also QW aswell as Brink. It’s a kind of shooter only you guys do and I really enjoyed my time so far.
But Phantom just breaks that. Even if he gets a nerf, Id still be unhappy about how he changes pace of the game. Seeing lvl6 players own scoreboards on pubs is ridicoulos.
If the devs like melee/invisibility so much that they are willing to sacrifice the pure feeling DB gave to this point, thats where I’m out and just stop playing the game altogether.
Theres other games to play, sadly nothing quite like DB 
@S3nf I think what you have to understand is what you were playing before was an unfinished product. It wasn’t Dirtybomb, it was Dirtybomb minus several of the key Mercs, plus others that are in development. You might not actually like Dirtybomb, you just liked it before it was finished, and before one of the integral mercenaries was released.
I am aware of that still I wanted to share my opinion.
Him being a integral merc I doubt tho, yes maybe to you and the devs but that does not mean it’s all fine
You are perfectly entitled to share your opinion, Im just saying, he was in the closed beta, along with a few other integral mercs. He is part of Dirtybomb, it isnt Dirtybomb if Phantom isnt in it.
Yea I played back then. Saying its not DB without him I find a bit of a stretch tbh.
But thats a question of personal taste. Right now he feels not in place, maybe it’s the players, maybe missing counter mercs but maybe he’s just not good (to balance) for the game. He has been removed for that reason as far as I know.
