http://www.planetquake3.net/seismovision/

Download, install, run, 5 minutes tops to tell it where your games are… pick a config, save settings and double click a demo to play it.

Supports the usual online games; Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Half Life, Unreal, Unreal Tournys, Call of Duty, ET, Wolfenstein etc…

(Vaibhav) #43

sesmivision is 6 mb and i only need to play ET demos so i rather put the demo in my my etmain folder and paly it from there. only a 5 mins job. :moo:

(pgh) #44

A 6mb program thats very usefull… but as you said, I spose your right if you dont need regular access…

Always constantly watching demos from games or a teams performance through out a few rounds to find weak spots and fix where things have gone wrong. Also the feature of config switching rocks for movie making. Then the fact I play/have demos for ALL the games above anyway so its even better.

New in etpro bugfix 3.0.10 :

b_fixedphysics (0 default, disabled) enforces fps-independent player movment. 1 = enable using b_fixedphysicsfps for all player movement, 2 = allow old fps-dependent movement up to 166fps
b_fixedphysicsfps (125 default) fps rate to use for b_fixedphysics movement when b_fixedphysics is set to 1

Cheers to bani for evening out the battlefield once again!

(DarkangelUK) #46

Im sorry but pmove_fixed already did this… that just adds more cvars to confuse and upset others. No need what so ever

(Sick Boy) #47

First of all, pmove_fixed is buggy, you can’t keep it on all the time because you can’t use all weapons (mg, sniper rifle,…) and lots of other bugs.

Second, no need to get confused it’s not a client cvar. The only confusing thing is you have to check what it’s set at to know what kind of physics you’ll have. I hope a standard gets set here in all major competitions.

Third, the only ones getting upset over this will be a small minority who can run the game at 333fps. I hope my demo proved this game is not meant to be played at that fps, because it gives you plenty of advantages the maps are not created for, and you don’t even need skill for it either.

Fourth, no need what so ever? What about the 90% that will now finally be able to get some skilled movement going, do a trickjump here and there, but were stuck with a crappy framerate? What about the levelling of the battlefield? Everyone already had the same rate of fire, same damage model, same everything basicly but ping and fps, now they have the same movement too. What’s wrong with that?

(pgh) #48

Rate of Fire still feels choppy to me  - takes around a second longer to unload a clip than my box downstairs. Current one sits at com_maxfps 76 and downstairs can sit at around 160ish…

(DarkangelUK) #49

I’ve never experienced any of those bugs at all, and regardless of who can get 333fps, most leagues (and PB) limit com_maxfps anyway so that makes it pointless again. rate of fire probably feels choppy cos SD thought it would be convenient to remove g_synchronousclients. And your demo’s a bit late in the game with regards to Q3 engine games being run at 333fps… it’s a long on going arguement before the times of ET. And yes, it is pointless, pmove does the same thing… dunno where this choppyness is coming from. On mousepotato Q3 defrag server i use pmove_fixed 1, pmove_msec 8, sv_fps 125 and g_synchronousclients 0 and have perfectly smooth gameplay, no choppyness and a fine rate of fire. If anything bring back g_synch to be client set.

You keep speaking like this is a new thing. Q3 OSP had the vote built in to enable Enhanced Client Sampling. Pmove can be used on all versions, VET, Shrub and ETPro… i think it’s a bit niave to think everyone plays ETPro only. Anyway… pgh says it’s still choppy with b_fixedphysics. Why start from scratch when they could work to improve what’s already there.

(Snappas) #50

darkangel > you.

(pgh) #51

/me trimps tbh.

(Term) #52

i was reading through all these posts and people saying it aint possible to get a high fps

well, heres mine (it aint aint near 333fps but its high anyways :D)

(BlackDeath) #53

Um, we all know its very much possible to cap frames at 125 (it just takes a relatively quick computer to continuously pull 125), we were more talking about 333…

(Term) #54

aha but you see i posted a good while ago about my computer stats, that i have a gforce fx5200 graphics card, 1mb broadband, pentium 4 3gig processor and 512mb RAM along with a 80gb HD…and most people said those were shit stats…

(BondyBoy007) #55

nope only the fx5200 is the shite part - but ET is more cpu intesive

(Term) #56

ah ok…i dunno a lot bout computers…

so were do you get your fps from???

(BondyBoy007) #57

my fps come from a lovely man in a blue and red uniform who delivers them to me daily

(Ifurita) #58

I go across the street for mine

(Bongoboy) #59

There should still be some in the box the game came in. Don’t tell me you just threw the packaging in the trash?
