multiple installs work fine, we used them when the first patch came out as well, the patch selector works too
but I guess you’d rather moan and bitch, btw, 2.60 patch works fine for me, no crashing on 2.60 servers even with custom maps

That would depend on how ET manages its system resources. If it saves session information in the registry then that will probably not work. If everything is saved in its local folder, then it should work. However, it will most likely confuse the system uninstall scripts.

What a whiner. Copy the damn installation to another directory and do it that way. No need to bitch about registry values. Come back after you’ve tried it.

If you play in TWL and whatnot, they say its a no go to move to the patch. So there will still be plenty of servers to play.

If the system reboots it’s either a hardware problem or a driver problem (even if only ET triggers it).

my thoughts exactly. you might want to try an older version of the catalyst drivers. I had problems with the newest ones and the 2.56 ET, so now I’m running with catalyst 4.9 which does a nice job.

Just uninstall ET and install it again(this time whitout applying newest patch). It will take a while until all the servers will have upgraded since ETPro doesn’t work correctly with new version. Until then maybe you will have the problem sorted out.

Also…

You’re wrong, computer would be “dator” in swedish. “Data” is the information inside a computer and not the computer itself. And therefore it does not rhyme. (dator, hata…)

Hey, anyone play on Boomtown? A few days ago the servers just became jumbles of letters in my favourites-list. Then when I found out about the new patch and figured that was the problem, and installed it, I can’t connect to the servers anymore – the game gives an error and shuts down. I just tried other servers and I get the impression it only happens on ETPro servers (which the Boomtown servers are).

Seeing all the Boomtown servers empty, though, gives me the impression I’m not the only one with this problem. It’s still early at night, but they usually always have people on them. I’ll keep watching them tonight and see if they fill up or stay empty. This doesn’t fill me with confidence in the new patch, though.
