Nirvana Showdown thread

OK, the first event was OK but not without flaws, this time we will try and mix things up a little but first discussion is needed:

Date & Time:

TBC, 6pm GMT onwards.

Format:

3 custom maps played in Stopwatch mode with team sizes of 8v8 played on ET:QW Pro with server settings as used on the Nirvana server.

All maps will be chosen by those playing, the previous voting scheme took too long.

The match will be on a TV server still but the server will be open to spectators to drop in and out when players require a break or whatever, the event will take place at the regular nirvana server and normal nirvana sunday will resume after the organised play is over.

Team rosters

Teams will consist of any player who is proficient in playing custom maps, exact line ups to be confirmed when we have enough players. Also be good if the teams that are formed be used again in future events to encourage bit of friendly competition to make things more interesting.

I can be “regular players” backup, or even be on the main “regular players” team.

ALSO! PLEASE DO NOT DISCONSIDER ANDES BECAUSE OF THE UNDER THE TERRAIN GDF SPAWN. I will fix this as fast as a thunder, stay tunned! Just need to move the spawn up in the map.

EDIT: I will remove Big Taz from the mountain.

Btw, anyone have an email or any other contacts of ZeBlob? He should have been #1 candidate for that team in fact… I miss him :frowning:

Original post updated with some more info and updated player lists.

Need someone from TAW to pop on IRC sometime this week to discuss their line up and map choice on #etqwmods , or failing that PM me.

Likewise for those who put your name down for regulars I need your vote on map you would like to play either by IRC or PM.

The public vote will be made available once the event is confirmed and a ‘map pool’ is agreed by those playing.

And yeah, where the feck is shirosae?!

you’ll be fresh as a daisy then. i do eight hours down the mine before 9 and then do a days work. i sense a raping.
