Argh, I never dl:ed them! I really need those pictures! I am two thirds through the making of an original Loffy-production fan-movie (3-5 min, with original music) and could really need some more material!
Now you know how to contact if you have stuff. Preferably Strogg-images (that’s my angle).
The masterpiece will end up at youtube within a week.

activision seems to me like the immature child that speaks before it thinks. once it’s leaked, it’s leaked. there’s no use to tell the fansites to pull it back while the leaked stuff still floats around on the non-fan-sites. the only thing that comes out of it is to piss the real fans off. imo the only logical conclusion would be to release the shots in their original format on the websites that were told to “stfu”. the whole activision stuff is getting annoying now with this 3rd incident. i plead for an id or SD filter to any mail that gets out from activision regarding quake wars.

hen admin can lock/delete this thread imo

hmm I guess from this thread other fansites arent getting PR emails from Activision either. Occasionally the wording on “large corporate sites” (an uncharitable wording I admit) accompanying releases gives the impression they are getting some, which is compounded on their ability to immediately get clean screenshots etc which for some reason they then brand like they have some form of ownership :weird:

To clarify, Splash Damage never ‘photoshops’ (or post-proccesses) shots - we have a VERY clear rule on that internally. If they look that way, they were probably scanned from a magazine, or adjusted by someone else. All of our screenshots are taken from within the game engine.

Maybe Activision can send material to the fan sites instead of telling us to remove things everytime we have something intresting.
If they can send it to a magazine why not send it to us too, we are here for the community aren’t we?

I have NEVER received anything from Activsion so far…if it wasn’t SD making this game i would have given up on my site after the first accident :wink:
Ps…i am Dutch so i have a royal approvement to complain :slight_smile:

Well… It’s sad that they ask someone to remove things from their site.
However, the Activision guy(s) might have been pissed about the poor image quality of the screenshots.
