New Medic Style Take The Fun Away?

(tokamak) #41

Would be cool if you could ‘tag’ fallen enemies from afar so everyone knows to leave those alone. The tagged body also doesn’t then reward xp for being gibbed. Naturally there should be a restriction on how often you can use such a tag.

Oh wait, that’s part of the mission system. In that way, the operative will probably already voice-chat the ‘i’ll deal with him’ or something like that.

lol, I just said the same thing…

(tokamak) #43

I didn’t read your post properly and only saw VOIP. Sorry about that.

(Cankor) #44

oh, it was more like “great minds think alike” joke. In fact, I may actually have been editing that part in when you were writing yours.

(tokamak) #45

Let’s hug it out :stuck_out_tongue:

Well all points are valid.

I too like to down an opponent then pick of medics. Also Medics tend to be the no. 1 target in the old SD games and TF2 as well, but now that it will be hard to spot a medic this will be different as well.

Just have to wait, worry, and see i guess.

Just go after the guy with pink gloves.

Kneeling by a downed player would make a medic twice the target he already is. I don’t know how many games you’ve played where you can assume this role, but it’s been my experience that opposing players LOVE picking on medics.

(tokamak) #49

Yeah, that’s what makes it so fun.

(Thryd) #50

I adored playing the medic in BFBC2, since you had to be right next to you team mate with the defib is was a lot ahrder and more challenging. True, it makes the medic more of a target, yet at the same time, it makes the game a lot more challenging for medics and quite a bit more fun. (for me) The syringe throwing idea, doesn’t work for me, I’m afraid, it sounds too…easy.

(LyndonL) #51

That’s cause the a-holes pick up a player that you just expended energy dispatching.

(Thryd) #52

Isn’t that the idea? >.>

(tokamak) #53

Then again it does balance in that the revived players are no longer bullet proof shields.

(LyndonL) #54

Hence why they’re picked on is my point

(Thryd) #55

Pfff, Medics were made to be picked on.

(Wraith) #56

Shoot the medic first

Need I say more?

(Yellow Steroid Puff) #57

All I’m saying is, it’d be nice to at least give a medic the same sporting chance to live as other types of characters. I’m sure they’ll have some sort of downside, like a lower life bar or something.

God forbid we get stuck with the Team Fortress 2 type of doc.

(Cankor) #58

That’s hilareous.

(Looted) #59

this image pretty much says it all.

as a long time dedicated medic, i appreciate the “tossed syringe” idea. makes for more realistic game play and more heals/rez happening.

and what’s all this “getting intimate” crap… it’s a FPS not a jap-RPG

(light_sh4v0r) #60

This makes my alarm bells ring. Please don’t add ANY feature just for the sake of realism. Not to mention the fact that this isn’t more realistic than using defibs, both are nonsense
