that’s seriously underestimating the amount of people that still think operatives are ninjas.
New Medic Style Take The Fun Away?
Really? Operative class isn’t overly popular in Australia. We’re too lazy to do the creeping
They’re still the sneaky class though. It’s the only class without synergistic abilities and therefore meant to be individualistic.
I think it’s more of psychological thing - many players will connect “sniper rifle” with “sneaky, recon guy,” just because it “makes sense” to them or it’s what they’re used to.
the beth forums are flooded with people who have “great ideas” on how to make the operative better. really if we did all those things the op would be really over powered with invisibility and poison and etcetera.
i have confidence that Splash will make sure everything is balanced, i doubt they would let something as simple as a healing grenade spoil everyone’s fun. and I agree with H0Rse, i love running through enemy fire to get up my team mate, or having to kill off 3 enemies before doing so. Feels good man
Did I miss something? Last time I checked that dude was against running up to one’s team mate to get him up and preferred the distanced revive.
I never said I was against it, just that the new way doesn’t take anything away from playing Medic - it just changes the tactics around a little.
underestimating numbers of actual ninjas, thinking same way, may have similar consequences.
seriously.
enough.
to think twice before shot ten times[at that direction&dance can-can].
“I certainly hope the throwing range isn’t too long. The real kick of being a medic is diving through all the fire to revive key players in your team. Getting to throw the syringe across the room ruins that experience.”
Agreed. I love being a pain in the ass med, reviving down players during the action. I hope this isn’t just to accommodate console players.

Consoles already have games that use manual revives - and it works fine. Blaming problems on console is getting quite old and unoriginal.
It wasn’t accusation, it was handing the developers an olive branch because there’s no other good reason to do it.
nah, elitism is calling consoles “Toy-Box” and “LameStation” or “PoS3”, blaming them for the lack of game development for PC has it’s truths
I’m with you Nail, PC gamers are most of the time screwed whenever we see a console port heading our way. I however don’t blame developers for spending less time making PC games, because there is a 90% possibility it will be pirated even before they are in the shops… Too bad for the Hardcore gamers like you and me, but face it, consoles will be, and will remain the bigger moneygatherer for gamedevelopers. And I truly hope that Brink will turn that tide.
