New kind of n00b

Well i’ve been playing ET for quite a while, in game-play, no n00b-ish attitudes (unless someone does it to me, or r giving my position away)from me at all, near the top of the leader board most games, but …

I’ve don’t know the jargon, only what fps is … no not frames per second, but first person shooter!

All i need to know is what all the other abreviations are, e.g motd (something like that, never was good at spelling)

Anyone else not know what that ment? Anyone know any other abreviations? Post here.

motd = message of the day
rup = ready up (=press the ready button)
noob = someone who has/sees no objective
tk = team kill
TKer = team killer
gl+hf = good luck and have fun

Usually all abbreviations for chatrooms etc . are used, e.g. see here for a list (some are not FPS related). Or you can search here for an unknown abbreviation.

There are so many possible abbreviations and acronyms it would help if you had a list of ones you were wondering about… but here is a few more… Feel free to use upper case!

  • gg = good game
    gj = good job, I think… :slight_smile:
    np = no problem
    kh = knucklehead
    fo = field ops
    co = covert ops
    engie = engineer

your ‘lamer’ definition: Uh, I read it twice, three times, four times and I’m still confused, what is the second part of the sentence supposed to tell me ? A player who is so good that you can’t kill him is a lamer ? :eek2:

If a good player makes extencive use of the PF he’s a panzer whore, if he kills tons of enemies by setting his arty at their spawn exit than he’s a spawnkiller, these two might be accused of beeing ‘lame’ because of that, OK, saw that, but accusing a player of beeing lame because he’s too good ??? Never saw that !
