I think a recording of a game with people communicating would be better than all that has been showed until now.
Maybe with commentary, like Blizzard did before launching Starcraft II.

PC HUD’s don’t need to be as big.
This is specially clear with for example last Fallout games, on PC the HUD is worthless ad people mod their own version of it.
We are closer to our screens and therefore the HUD elements can be a lot smaller and we see more of the action.
when you wach this video and think it whitout huds, brink looks freaking awsome.
I’m just wondering that will brink have somekind dynamite timer so i can see how much there is time before explosion, or do i have to make it by myself? I hope splash damage will publish somekind editing tools, map editor (gtk-radiant?) or something like it.

look in the upper right
i dont have it pulled up, but i think youre talking about the guy who got melee’d down the ramp, i lol’d
Yeah, pretty funny isn’t it
This may have already been mentioned… but there is no respawn timer on the hud. Or am I missing it?
This seems easily fixable yet I really wonder why they would do that. It’s so obviously important to know how far away the next respawn is when you take a risk :C
There is a respawn timer. 7:29 theres 3 boxes at the bottom of the screen. The very right hand side one says, “Join the reinforcements” and at the top right corner of that box is the respawn timer.
I somehow suspect he means while the player is still up.
;)
Aha! That’s my bad. I dont think i’ve ever seen that in a game before so that thought never even occured to me. But that would be a really nice touch.
Awesome new videos but damn … they couldn’t capture in HD?
If I was SD or Bethesda, I wouldn’t want the few videos coming out around this time of Brink to be sub-HD with audio problems … but for them to be perfect.
The reason I liked this video so much was because it’s un-edited and you really see the core gameplay which only re-affirmed that teammates work together and stay together and cooperate. Very nice!
Now let’s get the same type of videos but in 720p/1080p!!
The good video has put my sound worries to rest but I agree that there should be a respawn timer. If not, an explanation on why would be nice because it does seem like an easy thing to implement.
this was what we hoped for with QW, when some leaked footage came out. Ppl thought it sounded rather poor and it must be just placeholder sound effects and it’ll be good in the final. well, It wasn’t.
I don’t know whats going on in SD sound department…
I actually like the sound dynamics in this vid.
you’re over-reacting. There was some decent effective hip shooting footage, you must have missed it. Spread way less than BC2 that for sure!
that’s probably 'cause they were playing against bots, i suspect real ppl is going to be more “active” and not just stand there waiting for you to kill them.
Yes everyone seems to think that cause the player chose to use ironsights that’s empirical evidence that hipfiring sucks.
And BC2 as a yardstick? Can’t do too hard to improve on that. You could park a jumbo jet between the spread when hipfiring in BC2 from 5 metres away </exaggeration>
about respawn, you can see your team respawn timer WHEN you are dead (waiting for medic). But i guess they won’t give enemy respawn timer hehe
