New Euro style QUICK cup

I’ve been talking with a few people over the last couple days, and we’ve decided to see if there is enough interest to get another cup going, with another cash prize, though atm just for first place, and only $100, though that may change. So we’re creating a poll to see who is interested in what, and we will let that run for about a week or so, and then open sign-ups for a week, then the cup will start.\

I think right now most importantly, it will be a quick style cup, and we hope for it to run it’s course in about 1-2 weeks.

So, that being said, what would people prefer?

5v5 mixed - Allows Husky/Hog/Armadillo/Icarus, 3 mines per TEAM, 1 heavy weapon, Violator/Airstrike, 0 deployables
6v6 standard - Normal 6v6 comp ruleset
6v6 open - 6v6 with no restrictions, allows fliers
4v4 standard - Standard 4v4 ruleset

Whilst I (and I know a few others) would prefer 6v6, many EU players can’t stand vehicles (or don’t know how to use/counter them) which sucks. That and also I doubt people would even be able to field 6 players who can play constantly. 5v5 sounds like the most fun and mix of both to me as it will cater to those who hate (or can’t use/counter) vehicles whilst giving enough variation to defer from the standard four med/tech defense and three med/tech and obj class attack.

If this takes off I’d be willing to admin or something. :slight_smile:

If you allow hogs/armadillos, I’m assuming you wouldn’t allow the use of the secondary weapon (hyper/gpmg) otherwise you could theoretically have two heavies per team.

6v6 normal would be great to see and the most fun out of the options but realistically speaking I think 5v5 mixed would be a nice balance between what’s best and what’s achievable.

Yeah Dthy, I don’t think players remaining know how to deal with vehicles, really miss the cat and mouse chases between hogs/tanks/cyclops/rocket launchers/arty.

Btw I know this will end in 5on5 anyway, so I suggest to take at least the TLR 5on5 config. Hog doesn’t work.

ofc 6x6 is the most interesting format, but I don’t think it is possible to get atleast few 6x6 teams… so looks like that 5x5 is the best way

6x6 would be nice i think few players could come back especially for this cup . I dont remember when we played 6x6 last time :smiley:

Basically I’m for 6on6 too but I have some doubts that we will get enough teams for a 6on6 so I voted for 5on5 mixed.

I voted for 6vs6 standard. I know it’s not very realistic that a cup with those rules is feasible, but it would be a nice thing.

Just a short info to all:
I’m trying to enable TV Servers for both ad servers. I think I screw the server settings while trying to enable the TV server on the ad! pro mode server :o As soon as the TV servers are enable and all the old cfgs are running again, I’ll let you know

The ad Custom Server is untouched, please use this server for now. All the cfgs are there too.

Server is reseted, all settings should be as you know them and I’ve loaded the cb6on6 cfg. I hope I’ll get the TV Server running if we get another cup.
