Against the flow of this thread, I’m going to post my most unsatisfying moment, when I felt like a complete clutz (I’ve had “god” moments, but this one sticks out in my mind stronger).
On Oasis as engineer I’d managed to sneak into the north gun area without any axis spotting me. I walk into the gun area, and there’s a guy waiting camping and shoots me dead! I was very surprised, because I’ve never seen anyone with the patience to camp that out (and most of the axis had been playing offensive.
So I manage to sneak past again, with about 50 seconds to go. This time, just to be safe, I throw a grenade in first. I’d lost some health from a gun battle, but more than half. Lo and behold, I was standing just close enough to be in the grenade’s blast radius. And to make matters worse, there was no enemy in the room.
So the camper got two “frags” out of the one kill. If I had’ve just run in, or stood an inch further back, I could have planted the dynamite with ~30 seconds (maybe a couple extra) to go, and potentially finished gloriusly close to the timer. Instead, I died like a silent clutz. Most humbling.
To stay on topic though, one of my best “god” moments was when I was an axis medic on fuel dump. I ran into the allies supply area at the start of the map, and I must have killed 20-30 allies before finally dying. Wave after wave of their spawns came at me, knowing exactly where I was, and trying to kill me unsuccessfully. I felt great
