It is a non-issue.

If you can’t prove that you’ve seen people at an advantage from higher XP on Campaign missions then it’s a moot point.

Personally, I’ve come into games far behind in XP and I haven’t had much problem competing. This shouldn’t be a problem unless enough people complain and post demo’s in the future.

I don’t know how many times I have to post this but sigh I’ll post it ONE MORE TIME this is a TEAM BASED GAME, that has TEAM BASED OBJECTIVES. The damage XP you are suggesting has NO TEAM VALUE, and you already are given XP for damage in BATTLESENSE.

There is already a problem of people turning this into a deathmatch game.

You want to focus on individual score play Q3 or CS. I want teammates that are going to complete the objectives.

I can’t make this any clearer for you.

Well that’s true, this is a team game…

But you also have to take into consideration that the more XP you have the better you should be able to perform. That, in turn, should help your team.

Of course, it’s all relative… Just because someone has high XP doesn’t mean they’re necessarily helping the team much. XP is important though.

How is this important? This proposed damage XP does not go towards any player skills (other than what is already awarded by Battlesense)! Its nothing but an addition to an individual’s score.

My god I feel as if I have to dig the crayons and coloring book out for you bani. This XP for damage system has no value for any skills already in the game. So you tell me, when I go and do 40 points damage to someone, where does this XP go? Well, can’t go to light or heavy weapons, because I didn’t kill him. Battlesense is already giving me points for time doing damage, so it can’t work with that. Hmmmmm, nope definitely not medical… No signals involved… Engie… nope. Covert ops maybe? Nada.

So tell me Dr Watson, what is the purpose of this XP other than personal score? Don’t tell me you want to add it to light or heavy weapons. That would be ridiculous, we would all have dual pistols within 5 minutes.

I honestly have no idea what your thought process is by that last response. Not very thought out at all. Please think a little more before wasting my time.

So what if you did 90% of the damage? YOU DIDN’T KILL HIM! A med can quite easily TK/Revive him and have him back in fighting shape in moments. Then say he’s eventually killed by someone else. Should you recieve any XP for damaging him? I say NO, because the damage is nullified. The finisher is the one that deserves the XP, because he got the job done. Sure, if you want to pad stats and feel better about yourself we could have a nice little “damage” column. Totally meaningless of course; since this is a team based game.

Not to mention that he could just do a /kill and deprive you and your team of those precious XP. Whoops. That never happens. At least, not without demo verification.

Your system would encourage people to /kill. Simply because it’s an easy way to deprive multiple enemies from gaining XP.

If you’re a hot shot, you’ll get your precious XP. The system is fine as is. That is, unless you wish to change /kill or tk/revive.

When people argue against your proposed XP changes they are “unhinged” but it is perfectly normal for you to argue against something we proposed in changing the /kill system. Classic.

Who’s been insulting you? Maybe insulting your ideas perhaps, but after your repetetive posts on the /kill thread I don’t really think you can blame us.

When you try to be that counter-productive on another thread is it any suprise that we might find faults in your suggestions in other threads?

imo, I think some people have worked very hard on this game and regardless of what I hear now, time changes things. I only see the #‘s of players increasing and granted its new (n free)… blah blah blah if there is Players (read Community) I cannot foresee them’ not supporting it…~support and /Or sdk release… or getting the next game out… DOOM 64 Online MULTIPLAYER…yeah yeah yeah…ok doom 32 player,…20…14…12…8 EIGHT…
