Massive Cheating (on PC servers)

(Jamieson) #41

Ok so you quoted me and put a link, I followed the link and all it said was send PM about cheating? How is that relevant to what I said? Sorry just don’t understand what you point is.

(Nail) #42

it was Badman who posted the link

yeah, seems like the usual suspects have their cheats for brink out in the market.

About 80 hours in, haven’t seen one until this weekend. killing me first, then 2 other guys coming from different directions while I was lying on the ground watching him. He completely turned around 2 times while shooting the others, 3 headshot kills in 1 second with 2 360° turns, seemed pretty obvious to me.

funny thing was that while he had most kills at the end of the round, he was 2nd last on the scoreboard.

Jamieson, BrinkNeedsAC posted a link to a Youtube vid containing the URL of a website you can get a Brink aimbot from. Badman has since edited BrinkNeedsAC’s post to replace the link with one to a thread on here asking for exploits to be reported to them.

Yesterday on the container level someone managed to setup an invisible Gatling turret on top of an impossible to reach roof on the 2nd alleyway. It was looking down on the entire area right after you explode the initial door and bring the robot towards the crane repair objective. The turret seemed to fire at everything within a minimum of 50 yards, acquired targets immediately and had pinpoint accuracy. Needless to say, we did not make it to the crane and the team just disbanded b/c there was no way to kill the turret or get past it.

I’ve seen a few people who are beyond crack shots from crazy ranges, but the invisible turret was pretty demoralizing…

I’ve been called a cheater and banned on several servers. I also know for a fact that several top ET and COD2/4 players have been screamed at - and even banned - for cheating, but in fact just being the superior gamer.

So don’t just scream it because someone is vastly superior in every regards, you should be 105% sure before crying

Just over 80 hours played, not seen any cheaters. The invisi bug is the worst, because you tell players they have it and that they need to rejoin, but of course they don’t want to because they’re noobs and want the advantage.

I’ve come to warn you that ManGiraffeDog, a horrible deadly marauding godless killing machine, is coming to destroy humanity! You need to RUN AWAY!
Here’s a picture of the monstrosity:

I have only seen one aimbotter with the revolver.

I agree with this 100%, you need evidence before you ban somebody you can’t just do it because you think they are cheating or through hersay. Good players and I mean good comp players who only have to look at you to kill you get accused of cheating all the time. The problem is less experienced people who don’t play as much just can’t comprehend how someone can get that good without cheating but you can.

I don’t feel like getting in a massive forum discussion about this but the reason why autoaim is particularly obvious in Brink is that all the cheaters are using SMGs/pistols, and given how relatively little damage SMGs (or most guns in this game for that matter) dish out, the space of time in which they kill people implies that every shot is hitting save for the cone of fire restrictions, which I assume they can’t yet mod at this point (although I wouldn’t 100% doubt that either). I’m not talking about even more than 1 second. I am talking about you see a guy start firing and you are dead from an SMG milliseconds later. Once or twice is a fluke, but when this same guy is doing this round after round to every single player they come across that’s not “skill’” it’s aimbotting. And before you say I’m a “noob” or “naive”, I’ve been playing online at a high level since the original R6 (that’s 1998), through countless different FPS games. It doesn’t take evidence. All it takes is playing a game for a while and then getting to understand what is and what is not possible in any given FPS (and this requires experience and personal skill as well) and you can understand what kind of things an incredibly high level of skill can accomplish, and what kind of things only a hacker can accomplish. Is it 100% certainty? No. But I feel comfortable saying it’s 90% certainty. And it’s no coincidence the huge jump in cheating came at the exact same time these guys released the hack for sale. If you don’t think there’s an inordinate amount of cheating in this game as it stands, you are simply naive, or not experienced enough to tell. And if these cheats are allowed to exist for much longer, no one will play the game anymore because frankly, it’s just not fun.

only one guy i’m suspicious of so far, ran around a corner and was killed by headshot from a guy with a bulpdaun. the point i’m suspicious of is that i only just rounded the corner, and that i died so fast(as a medium) that it actually seemed as if he had taken me down in one shot. ofcourse he could’ve been lucky, but i find it quite suspicious

(Miken420) #54

I think I finally saw a few cheaters in a server the other night. They were taking out waves of 3+ enemy players easily by themselves before having to reload. You could see that their target acquisition was causing them to point directly at enemy players heads right until their target died, and then they’d instantly ‘stick’ to another players head until they were dead.

It was pretty obvious. Also they were on my team so I was able to get a really good look. I didn’t even have to help them fight off the other team.

(drc358) #55

For all the naive people saying no one is cheating…

[links removed]

It goes on and on.

The aimbots and radars are rampant on the PC version.

Aimbotters are rare in brink, iv seen 2 in over 140 hours of gameplay.

They are easy to spot, usually due to their crappy movement yet extreamly consistent, unrealistic accuracy. The main giveaway is lack of movement, good players strafe and move well, ****ty players using aimbots are easy to spot, they have no awareness and positioning/movement.

I personally have been called an aimbot at least 15 times so far, and my clanmates have seen the same problem, there are alot of comp players floating around in the day on pubs who can easily take out 3+ pub players with one smg clip. Im sorry to sound patronising but alot of you are mistaken and are calling good players cheaters.

(drc358) #57

This is either 1) utter nonsense 2) you work for SD and doing dmg control or 3) US servers are drastically different than UK servers.

The aimbotters are overwhelming, especially in the evening when all the kids are out of school.

I love when people post nonsense like like this. Aimbotters actually strafe even more and better than the normal player, because they do not have to worry about aiming while they do it.

Good for you. You rock. You are pure awesomeness. It does not alter the fact that the servers are being overwhelmed with aimbotters.

No matter how much you do not want it do be true.

Your wrong. Post the names of people you think aimbot and ill post you links to their clan sites

:stuck_out_tongue:

Aimbotters dont strafe better btw…you cant strafe better…good players can aim while strafing fine they dont have to “worry” about it either, the reason aimbotters dont strafe well is because they are snapping around the map, you cant move well when your 180’ing every other second

You are as bad the politician denying he wasn’t tweeting dirty pictures to college girls.

You’re denials are hollow and and without merit. And continuing to make them over and over won’t make the truth go away.

Well I know the diference between a good player and a cheater, a cheater is a player that obs ESP wallhacks and knows your position behind walls and stuff 24/7 even with silent running silencer and not showing in radar, always prefiring.
