im against shuffling or any form of auto balance unless teams are numerically uneven (4v7, for example)
if theyre uneven in level or score too bad, suck it up, get better by grinding your dick into a wall for 90 matches.

I’m pretty sure that you had no other options or limited options at the time and also that the game wasn’t developed with the Free to Play model in mind. I’m positive that it’s not a pure mentality issue like people seem to think. If people enjoy slamming their nuts in a car door then all the power to them but I don’t think you can make a good profit when their are so many other options that allow you to keep your nuts intact.

I totally agree with you, Vote Shuffle is totally useless, it can be removed. And we need an auto-balance in case of 2 more players in one team.

If not then be mad at yourself. there is a join button in lobby and esc, change team in game.

Yup. Sometimes people switch teams when they shouldn’t in a pub because they want to play with friends. Sometimes people, especially friends, leave at the same time. Would an option for an auto-balance be OK for this situation? Yup. But you can also switch teams yourself. I do this all the time myself and the matches end up fine typically.
I know a lot of people are used to more recent games doing absolutely everything for them but there are options that you can use to help fix the situation yourself without the game being responsible. And if you can’t fix it then you can always leave and join another server. That’s the beauty of public servers. You can join/leave whenever you want and for whatever reason you want.
I think the amount of votes needed could stand to be reduced a little…and or maybe making the vote box a little more noticeable

Look, we all get that shuffle gets abused. But that does not warrant its removal.
Here’s my question, why do you guys keep making threads about the same damn thing? There’s 3 including this one on the first page, making more isn’t going to magically fix everything, only thing that will is learning how to play the mercs and work together.

Whenever I try to shuffle it doesn’t work because too many players vote no or don’t vote at all. So why do we have it? When I try to kick an afk player it also fails sometimes because there are not enough votes or some players voted no. In my opinion the vote system is broken. In most cases it fails because it doesn’t have enough votes.
So when you quick join a game and end up in an unbalanced match where your team doesn’t even manage to do the first point you can immediately leave the match because the shuffle will always fail. This happened so many times. As long as im playing dirty bomb I saw the suffle work only a single time.
In most matches some players ask shuffle 3 or 4 times. That’s useless and very annoying. Especially in stopwatch when the vote success at the end of the half time and you are switched to the other team…
That vote must be removed.
A more interesting feature would be an “auto-balance” when a team has 2 more players than the other one. Not based on XP, but a random player should be swapped in the other team.
Why are games starting 7vrs4 or any other uneven amount of players.
It’s all too common you can see it’s going to happen in the lobby, why does the timer keep counting down to start the game in the lobby when teams are clearly unbalanced population wise.
Doesn’t matter if its pub or not games shouldn’t be starting like this.
The lobby system needs work it can’t be left like this!
Because more often shuffle is called when a team is getting stomped because they’re not really trying to get the objectives done and goes for the TDM instead, not really working together, team composition is shite (like 4 value vassilis, skybro aaannd… rhino on attacking team)… tbh I don’t see any reason for a shuffle if they refuse to even try to get the objs done or prevent the objs being done.
From all bad reasons to call the vote, that’s the worst one.
You just don’t use it just to get a chance to be in the winning team for crying out of loud… aaannnd that’s why they vote ‘no’.
Shuffle team is used like a last resort to win but everytime I use it when I’m about to lose, everyone just went straight up NO including most of my teammates. Why?

I remember the times I balanced teams… it was horrible since 90%+ of the time even more people left… including the once who cried about how uneven teams were… so yeah, needless to say that I’ve ended up feeling so insulted so many times that I just don’t care anymore.
You know… it’s like when somebody calls you for help, you go help and the guy just leaves because you weren’t able to solve the situation in 5 seconds.
So I understand talking about this won’t achieve anything, but I’m really just curious.
I’ve seen a lot of people in this game who don’t seem to care about match balance and I don’t get it. I keep ending up in matches where one team is mostly around level 15 players, and the other is level 5’s, subsequently one team ends up barely able to leave the base. Whenever I end up in a game like this, I try to do my best if I’m on the bottom team, but if I’m on the high level team, if we’re up in numbers I’ll join the losing one because more balanced matches are more fun in my experience.
But I’m not great, and even if I were, one high level player can’t offset a team all under level 10 when the enemy team is all 15+. So inevitably some people will start to leave the losing team, which is no fault of their own since it is usually very clear it’s unbalanced. Then if you ask someone on the other team to switch because you’re down 2+ players from them, nobody does. Some players will even flaunt how well their team is doing and defend their “strategy”.
I get that some people really do draw that much fun from winning, no matter the cost, but I just don’t understand what they lose by balancing the match, any credit difference (if any) is negligible, and the game doesn’t keep track of wins/loses. Dealing with players that seem to enjoy sitting around killing the enemy team with no resistance every spawn wave always makes me want to take a break from the game.
As an aside though, I just want to recognize and respect all the low levels who end up on the no chance team, but keep on playing anyways. If I’m the only one on the team with a kd close to average and I find the situation annoying, I can’t help but admire the resolve of the guy who is 2/20 and still trying.

Because my thread wasn’t about balance, but about remove Vote Shuffle.
In my opinion that game has no balance issue, but a Vote Shuffle abuse problem!
Then that thread merge is very strange. Damn mods.
That was my fault. I accidently included that thread in my giant merge of the 5+ threads on the same subject. I can’t un-merge it or I would.
Of course I think it had mostly come to a conclusion with most people agreeing that vote shuffle doesn’t need to be removed but instead limited. I’ll be entering a question with Fara to give to the devs about their thoughts on changing the system. I believe they are already aware of the abuse however but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
