I was spectrating 3v6 game when i started writing this. I played a 3v6 right before on that server and didn’t have a mood to participate in another unfair one.
Balancing in this game is obviously fucked up. Those shuffle team votes never pass. This has to get at least some attention from game developers. First thing that needs changin is auto-balance system itself.
By that i mean what team shuffle vote does. Would you want to appear in losing team in last minute without ability to change anything? - No? Than press “No”. That means game has to restart once vote passed through with keeping gained XP before vote.
Another thing is how vote works. Basicly with even teams you need your team and somebody from other team to vote “yes”… If you have a couple players less, somebody just joining in game and still loading in lobby, AFK or simply new player, no vote is going to pass. System needs remove afk players to spectrators after 30-40 seconds of idling and than kick after 2 minutes from spectrators. It also must not take into account players that still pick mercs and load outs in lobby before joining. Each team should have 50% votes total votes, that means in team with 4 members each member has 12.5% vote while in team with 8 members - 6.25%. If you get 60% “yes” votes total, shuffle passes and 2 players that voted “yes” change team and game restarts as 6v6.
Auto-balance system would be good if it’s made properly. If one team has 2 players less it should ask all players in bigger team if someone wants to change team to keep a balance. If multiple players agree - system takes their XP into account. To promote team swap i’d suggest to grant from 25 to 100 credits depending on how close is the end of game.
