In my opinion a good player have to adapt his playing style with the situation (jumping all around not moving etc.) so this topic is… :rolleyes:

On the other hand some people consider that there’s a gap between old comp and new comp, but we have real examples : samurai, Kordin, rex, brontoz, draelor … OH MAGIK THESE ARE THE BEST CURRENT PLAYERS ! So you can treat the new wave of players whatever you want the old ones remain the best so what is your point guys ? We should be even worst ? We shouldn’t exist at all maybe ?

High sense or low sense doesn’t really matter, what matters is what lets you comfortably move your mouse around in order to be able to keep your crosshairs on a moving target for as long as needed.

I prefer high sensi indeed, in fact i’ve been trying low sensi few days with very bad results
But my point, personal feeling, is that i see more people with low sensi than two years ago.

I think people are forgetting that the ‘old’ skilled players were, on average, better than the best ETQW has now… So the climb to the top of the league has become a lot less steep.

^^ i ve been saying this for weeks and months, but what do i know, i ve only played this game since beginning and obviously havent been in enough teams to form an opinion let alone voice this. :rolleyes:
whenever these comments about old times and old players come up the newer teams/players seem to feel offended and it ends in a dissing contest. instead of just accepting someone elses opinion about a time they werent even around, they get all bitchy like lil girls. whatever. not worth discussing, ego wins over knowledge, weird-ass net settings wins over skilled gameplay, multihacks wins over fairplay but at the end of the day its just a game. =)

That’s like saying you can’t comment on a world famous painting unless you’re a world famous artist or some crap like that. How does the degree of my skill affect my ability to pass judgment on the skill of others?

Another thing, these days it’s pretty much only 4v4, before it was 6v6, two very different games.

exactly. in every game, sport and many other aspects of life every human being has the capability of forming an opinion and guess what the only skill required for that is using your brain. something some ppl should try once in a while…:rolleyes:

i know i shouldnt have commented at all, but i felt kinda bad for verti when i read his comment, knowing that it will get torn to shreads here. it really is not worth discussing mainly due to the fact we are all aware of, that discussing with stupid ppl is pointless, coz they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. i should thank knecht flaffi for proving my point. :rolleyes:

I don’t know why they get worked up over it, not like anyone is saying they are low skilled or anything. How I see it is back in the day, people were playing for money, this incentive attracts higher skilled players who will train hard and up their game more than any fun cup can ever hope to do.

if you wanna keep to your art example: ofc you can comment as an mediocre painter some famous art paining…but if it makes sense saying that impressionists were much more “skilled” than expressionist is another matter altogether.

so you were not able to do things what “old-skilled” players could do and you still can’t be on the same level after 4 years playing as some “newschoolers”, but you think you are the suitable ones to have the right appreciation?? :smiley:

obviously you try to pay attention but dont quite get your facts straight mate. I dont feel pain and hate reading these forums, I just reached my patience-limit with stupid posts and stupid ppl, hence i already quit.
