Kill / Death Stats

(Seyu) #101

We will be able to see kills/deaths of each player during the match though, right?

(madoule) #102

good question there. so far we’ve only received confirmation about the scoreboard at the end of the round. interesting what will be displayed when we press TAB…

(LyndonL) #103

Eugh, so long as the PING is displayed when TAB is pressed. I hate games that don’t since you have no real decent lag indication.

(Krysiss) #104

:rolleyes:I’m great player who kill more then being dead all the time while doing the objective…
still people call me A cheater/camper/non team player…

People think they are great that they can spamm ammo or revive without shooting the enemy dead first. and say they are teamplayer and wins the game… I say play high competitive match first and see what real teamwork is

>.> Just to point out… K/D + score per minute let me see the whole picture of the player.( is he camper, or aggressive player, defensive player or just the average normal gamer)

His tactics/his aiming skills/his next step.

Hell sometimes you have to do2x reverse thinking… what is the most best possible way he want to kill me.

Man, it seems a pretty awesome bunch of people have been joining the SD forums lately. Anyway, to answer your question, Exedore was implying there won’t be any K/D on the leaderboards. You’ll be able to be able to see Kills/Deaths after the match, there is no info on whether you’d be able to view them during the match though.

(Apples) #106

I’m also a great player because I’m awesome and you truely broke my e-go! sadpanda!

Peace

(gunzo) #107

This guy is more awsome than me, i totally agree. I can only manage 1x reverse thinking.

(Krysiss) #108

lol and that why there is difference in low/med/high teams.

(Krysiss) #109

oh the e word again… guess what there is always a difference in skill or there wouldn;t be number one.

example Cod4 wars channel on IRC there clearly difference in skills from different teams

(Krysiss) #110

So you can see your K/D on your statspage but not on the leaderbords?

the statspage of BFBC2 you can Analise what the style is from the player.
because without the kill/death recorded I could just spam team action’s but doesn’t mean I’m a good player

(gunzo) #111
lol and that why there is difference in low/med/high teams.
And IQ too, obviously.

(Krysiss) #112

And why are you implying that.

You never player with a old lady I guess…
:tongue:Those type of gamers are funny like hell

she could almost be my mother

(gunzo) #113

Ok now you’re just weird.

(Krysiss) #114

Says the awesome 1x reverse thinking guy:D

(Mad Hatter) #115

Actually, I’d say someone who constantly helps his team by tossing around ammo/upgrades/heals is being a good player. Not a leet shooter, but he is helping his team out quite a bit.

Brink is an objective-based, not kill-based, shooter.

(BioSnark) #116

Attempting to complete objectives will lower your k/d ratio. That’s just how it is. Since you’re someone who cares about that, it’s going to make you, and many others, less willing to attempt objectives. As such, it damages an objective based game. That has to take priority over e-peen measuring on cod IRC or whatever.

thats what brink is made for. the aiming an skills will eventually come after a while…

Guess that why there are more then 25 guns guns right… a bit of both

If one guy can hold 2 people down on his own… then who is more worth, the guy who is constantly tossing ammo/upgrade/heals or the guy holding the objective against 2 player(killing)

I rather have guys who clear the area first and then assist with ammo/upgrades/heals

(H0RSE) #119

Guess that why there are more then 25 guns guns right… a bit of both

There’s 24 weapons…

and what does the amount of guns have to do with the emphasis on killing players? SD’s previous games each had less than 10 guns (I think) and many of them were class-specific. I expect killing in Brink to be just as important as it was in those games.

(Krysiss) #120

NOT True.

If I go for objective I will not go as headless chicken and trying to complete the objective. what I meany people see do and FAIL and so it will cost the team more.

instead I will try to create the best opportunity and to be effective to destroy the objective
