can you bind something to the key left to Z?

ah oke…now i understand…i didnt realize that the AMOUNT of keys is differnt on differnt keyboards…

im using danish keyboad… (ive marked the keys im talking about)

I tried binding some function to the keys using the in-game menu, to find out which key ET considers it to be. The right one is “;” (at least on my Swedish keyboard), but the other one isn’t detected at all. :frowning:

To bind it you need to do “bind SEMICOLON <something>”.

Hmmm anytime I’m binding anything in game I just do “/bind KEY <whatever>” so if I was going to bind the “.>” key I would just “/bind . <whatever>” or “/bind > <whatever>” But I don’t know what I’m talkin about half the time anyway =D

Hi !
I have a question:
How to change the voice command’s display text?
example :
When the voice command : " NeedAmmo" the text is: " i need ammo" , but i want to change this to “i need bullets” for example.

I try this:
bind x “vsay_team NeedAmmo; say_team i need bullets”
but this is not good becouse:
the texts are :
-I need Ammo
-i need bullets
i want simple:
-i need bullets
and the original voice of course

Dont think ya can bind the " \ " / " | " key. :slight_smile:

At least, 4 different chars doesnt work, cant find a ‘name’ tag for it, eg, Semicolon and none of the menus in nearly ALL my games wont let me… its a loan anti-game key… :]

Games being, BF, CoD, Q3, RTCW, ET, UT2k4, 2k3, HL etc… mostly all FPS games cause it would be the perfect crouch/prone key for me… :<

That bindlist assumes a US keyboard. On a UK keyboard you can’t bind " \ " " ’ " or " # ". I have got “/” to work though, but only by setting it in the menu rather than console or config.

You can only do what you ask with ETPro 3.0.1, and it’s a simple bind like this:-

bind x “vsay_team NeedAmmo ^3Gimme ^5some ^4bullets!!”

Just add your custom text after the vsay, no need for an additional say command. My personal favourites:-

bind x “vsay EnemyWeakened The Enema is Leaking”
bind x “vsay NeedEngineer We need a Ninja Deer”
bind x “vsay GoodGame Gay Game”
bind x “vsay Hi Die”

I got “/” to work on RTCW by doing bind / “say blah blah”, dunno if it’s the same with ET.

is it possible to make binds for the start up screen?
eg. to connect to a certain server, or to set up sv_pure 0 and g_gametype 2 then devmap string1
