Keep getting kicked

I have absolutely no idea why I keep getting kicked from every server i join. i absolutly love ET but cant fix the problem I tried reloading and creating new profiles every thing. The only thing I can think of is some how my ip address is some how bocking me via complaints or some thing. Its driving me nuts. Any solutions? Please, if any one else has this poblem pls post. :???: :banghead: :frowning:

I amy even have been banned or something But that rrediculous I dont have a cheat code or any thing I us ethe profile name :George Bush and maybe someone doesnt like that. But I have been pplaying for years underthat name. Even tried a new name but keep getting kicked. Please some one help me!!!

Is it punkbuster kicking you?

If so, update punkbuster by running ‘pbweb’ (just double click it) in your ‘pb’ folder (you will find it in your Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory folder)

tried updating punkbuster but that ddint work still kicked for unknown reason. there has to be a solutution. Do ya think I was banned by admin some how? to every server?

You can’t be banned by every server.

I get kicked by evrer one. I tried to take a screen shot but I guess I dont really know how. But my screen says “you have been disconected for unknown reason”.

more like" server disconnected for unkown reason" exact wording.

You may be joining a server with a custom map that you don’t have and you have auto-downloading turned off.

Assuming he is playing recent versions, that tells you which paks you are missing.

ok this is exactly what is happening. I join a server, I am in a game for about 15 seconds, then I am kicked and it says “server has disconnected for unknown reason”. I have tried about 100 different servers and the exact thing happens evertime. The only way I can play is if I disable punkpbster and play on those servers only. But who wants that? everyone is using acheat code of some kind. I tried updating punkbuster, did exctly as it says to do, and it still doesnt work. Its killing me man, PLEASE HELP! :banghead: :???: :frowning: :???: :frowning:

So what’s the console saying during those 15 seconds before you’re kicked? Anything?

Please try connecting to the server in my signature and post here the name you used when you connected. I’ll look at the server logs and see if they reveal anything.

You will need ET version 2.60 and ETPro version 3.2.5 (or just turn on auto-downloads, the server is not malicious I assure you).

Copy the first line of my sig and paste it into your console with CTRL+V (the console opens with the tilde key ~).

There are two ways:

  1. kick via ETPro anti-cheat
  2. something else - look into console after “kick” form server and from “unkown reason” is now known reason.

Just as a test, I connected to ourboros server and got on fine, no problems. So if you get a problem connecting, we at least know its not the server.

ok i tried that console thing~ and this is what it says…

server disconected for unkown reasonPunkbuster. not connected to a server

can any one explain that?

I tried this on a few different servers and it says the same thing every time.
