Just report this to ebay; ebay will panick and pull this at the slightest whiff of copyright infringement.

Not to mentuin waving section 3/4 of the EULA under their nose (located in your root et directory):

Mind you, I think I might have technically broken the EULA by posting it here? (At least I didn’t charge for it)

anyone stupid enough to pay for something that is provided for free deserves to get ripped off.

not many people are stupid enough since almost none of his items have bids on them. That’s a bad thing since you pay about $.30 for each item post, and some other change depending on start price. I think he’s paying about a dollar for each of those posts and it’s not very likely he will get any bids on them so he’s pretty stupid.

(BlackDeath) #8

Doesnt make it legal…

(puubert) #9

Exactly. He can expect a hefty fine if he gets caught.

(The_Jesus_Zeppelin) #10

id love to see the guy that buys it lol!

(HerrK) #11

I think it’s for people they have only an isdn-connection cheaper to buy a burned cd
with et + patch + a lot of custommaps as to download it from the internet!

(NdK)

(PeteSpeed) #12

But what we are saying is why HE should be making money out of other ppls hard work?
Ppl with slow connections can buy magazines cant they PCGamer???

(Machine for to kill) #13

PCgamer sucks…it’s a waste of money. Total sellouts. I’m glad i unsubscribed from it.

(amazinglarry) #14

You mean I shouldn’t have placed my bid for Enemy Territory? How am I supposed to play it then? It’s not in stores anywhere around here. :bored:

(HerrK) #15

I see no differences…
If i give PCGamer the money or a privat person…it’s the same!
He sold a free-game & free-maps cd-burned compilation…that’s legal!

(NdK)

(Mr. Chris) #16

I hope the SD guys shut this idiot down FAST… :bash:

(NdK) ;)[/quote]

When you buy PC Gamer, you don’t just buy the game, you buy a magazine, plus the CD contains other stuff. Splash GIVES the game to PC Gamer to distribute. PC Gamer make no extra revenue from putting the game on the disc, unless they sell more copies.

This fuck is selling a copy of the game, for his profit. That’s illegal as pointed out in the list that someone posted above. If he gives it away, that’s fine, but he’s SELLING it.

See the difference? PC Gamer isn’t selling the game, they’re selling a magazine. He’s not selling a magazine, just a copy of a game he’s not allowed to sell.

(Machine for to kill) #18

I think he’s allowed to sell anything he wants.

If I have something and I want to get rid of it I can do that in many different ways. He chooses to sell it. It is no different from the people on ebay that sell regular retail games. If it’s yours, and you aquired it legally, then you may do with it as you please which includes selling it.

(The_Jesus_Zeppelin) #19

not on ebay, there real clicky about what they sell anymore, a bunch of people sued em for gettin sold crap. if it even comes to doubt of being illegal on ebay, they shut it down. they dont want to get sued again.

and no i dont think anyone paid for et, cause the pcgamer mag was about 6 bucks, with or without disc, its like when it comes another month and its got demos on it, the demos are free, why would they make you pay for them?

(Fusen) #20

what would have been better it just charge for shipping and the CD cost but dont add anything on then people with 56k and no mag shops near them can get the game for free but they pay for the CD that he burnt it on that way he isnt being a little ***** and sellin something which he doesnt have the right to and the 56k’er gets the game they want
