Isn't this...illegal??

What do you mean? I think that is a great deal!

NOT!

When you buy PC Gamer, you don’t just buy the game, you buy a magazine, plus the CD contains other stuff. Splash GIVES the game to PC Gamer to distribute. PC Gamer make no extra revenue from putting the game on the disc, unless they sell more copies.

This fuck is selling a copy of the game, for his profit. That’s illegal as pointed out in the list that someone posted above. If he gives it away, that’s fine, but he’s SELLING it.

See the difference? PC Gamer isn’t selling the game, they’re selling a magazine. He’s not selling a magazine, just a copy of a game he’s not allowed to sell.

Thankyou thats exactly what i was saying.
Omg why dont ppl read all the posts here before posting.
And SD please let us know what your gonna do about this.
I dunno about you lot but ive been sending PMs to the moderators trying to get a response but to no avail :eek3:

Here did someone sell an aimbot for ET Pro:

Not everything you own comes with legal infringements sepcificly saying you can’t sell it to make profit… ET does. How about you go read what The-Original-Pvt-Parts posted all the way through, have a seat for a while and ponder what has just went over your head.

hmm thats two threads that have been more than 9-10 months old being revived :X

(Akilae) #27

None of you owns ET, you barely have the license to use the software, ET is the property of Activision and you can’t legally sell other’s people’s property.

What about the time and effort you put into placing all these items on to a disc and the cost of the disk to yourself???

I.E heres a FREE game with all the FREE maps, and to save you downloading etc i have put them all on to a CD for you… I am now going to charge you £20 for my time i put into it + cd cost…

Is that not a legal way of doing it??

(DarkangelUK) #29

All you could charge for is the price of the CD, the contents don’t belong to you… i thought we covered this. You are not allowed to make profit from this game. You can only charge for the CD to break even.

(puubert) #30

I think the point he’s trying to make is what’s stopping me from charging you $20 for the CD itself. If the CD is my legal property (which it is unless you steal it) then you are allowed to charge whatever you want for it, but it must be made clear the $20 is for the cost of the CD and my time and effort, NOT the game. Then all you need is someone dumb enough to pay.

if you read the eulas, usually they restrict you from distributing the product in any form.
