Introduce Yourself!

(Tankey) #321

Hi guys,

I’ve been invited by Splash Damage to participate in the Dirty Bomb Closed Alpha, I’m really grateful for that thx.

Well, I’m a 17 year old Dutch guy with the SD roots laying in ET.

On my 13th year I started playing ET and pretty right after that I started my own community. After a couple of months we gathered some stable active players and we´ve become one of the biggest, or the biggest community in ET with over 150 members.
During this time I learned how to make websites and those kind of things, I´m making my own websites and modules now as well.

Enemy Territory was so much fun, playing with friends from different countries. I hope Dirty Bomb will accomplish at least as good

I’m determined to add a value to the Closed Alpha of ET, and be a stable and active player once it comes out.

So… hi

Hello everyone! I am beyond pumped to be here. I am 20 years old and i started playing wolf:et right after it came out. I single-handedly taught your very own Potty how to play ET he may not admit it though. Me and him have been pubstomping and playing in pro scrims for almost 8 years now. He is the man who brought me to DB and I thank him.

I have been waiting for a game with the same promise to come out for a long time now. It will be a pleasure gaming with everyone. Hope to see most of you on here.

Love DARKz aka the next winghaven

See you in game, noob!

Hello there,

I’m just a basic french player who used to play casually all of the SD games released on PC and I decided to support them when I bought the legendary pack few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any pro or semi-pro record on any agame. :frowning:

See you in-game.

(INF3RN0) #326

Looks like a french invasion to me!

(Kl3ppy) #327

Normally the germans invade places :penguin:

(MrFunkyFunk) #328

The French don’t invade, they only retreat.

(Kl3ppy) #329

Haha that reminds me at the frech fighting technique: parcour!

(GENETX) #333

Hey all  . I am GENETX, 25 years old and from the Netherlands.

Got my invite a few days ago as well, so time for me to jump into the DirtyBomb hype  . I’m not a pro gamer, not a modder, nothing special at all actually. So my gaming history starts somehwere with a little GENETX on the C=64. Don’t remember anything tho since I was <5 yo back then :stuck_out_tongue: . Then classics such as day of the tentacle, GTA, need for speed series games on the two first computers. Nothing special yet. Then we finally got ADSL about 10 years ago. In the same week as ET got released. I’ve did some battlefield 1942 and COD before offline. But ET and online gameplay, it was amazing!

Have been playing that game for years on public servers and had my own public clan with over 40 active members in it’s peak days. Just fun. Shootin’ around and spamming the chatbox. As said, I am not a pro. I just want to boot up the game, try to kill some, do some nice teamwork and hang around in the chatbox. So perhaps I will be best at giving some casual gamer feedback for those who intend to play this game after a hard day of work. Just to relax, but no wars and all the commitment that comes with clans. Just boot the game, play 1-2 hours, enjoy and quit again.

(gunsmoke) #335

Hey, This is gunsmoke.
I’ve gamed since playing Jeopardy on a floppy boot dos IBM PS/2. Graduated to Doom and Duke Nukem 3d. In college I fell in love with Wolfenstein: ET and found a great community there. I joined a roving band of hoodlems and we had ourselves some fun. When ET:Quake Wars came out, I spent countless hours playing, competing and having fun. We competed in some later ladders and leagues. As of late, I’ve been busy with life outside of games, but I really believe in Splash Damage and this game reminds me a lot of the original Wolf:ET, so I joined the alpha. I will be looking to pub mostly and maybe join up with some friends for somefriendly matches.

(Litego) #336

Hello, I’m Litego, 25 yo from Norway.

Started to play games on NES and SNES back in the days, played the old Wolfenstein 3d and stuff like that, but did not get into multiplayer until I started playing tons of Quake 3, Unreal Tournament 99, Counter-Strike 1 and Aliens vs. Predator. I played the **** out of those games, I basically lived on LAN parties for 2 years because I didn’t have internet at home. Previously SD games I’ve played are Quake Wars:Enemy Territory and BRINK, despite what most people think, I liked BRINK quite a lot, it had great potential, and even though it didn’t deliver fully, I got good value out of it.

At the moment I spend most my time in FireFall PvP, I don’t have any competitive experience, but I recently joined one of the top EU teams and am looking forward to learning more coordinated play and competing in tournaments.

As for this game, I’ve only played it for like 30 minutes, but from what I’ve seen so far I like the twitchyness, I like the movement focus (as in strafing while firing and not ADSing all the time), I like the bigger HP pools. and from what I’ve seen, headshots are important instead of center of mass, which I also like (though can’t tell for sure yet, little early for me). I’m looking forward to testing this game and giving my opinions on it. I also believe it can drastically improve my twitch aim, which is not good enough atm. The game is a nice change of pace from FireFall with different aiming techniques needed.
