Im in the military currently stationed in South Korea so I guess its kinda hard to find a game on here?
Introduce Yourself!
Not sure how I hadnt heard about this project sooner, so it looks like I am a little late to the party. Made sure I contributed the only way I could (monetarily) the second I saw all the shenanigans going on in the splash damage department. Played competitively in RTCW W:ET Cod4, DOD:S and have closed beta tested in a ton of games including brink and quakewars. Already seen a few names I recognize in this thread and hope this project reaches its full potential and will do everything I can to help
Lookin forward to it!

Hi guys Jamieson from the England/UK here! Veteran of W:ET and ETQW and played Brink for awhile too so I’ve been playing SD games for a long time. Anyway just thought I’d say hello and ask when the best time for playing is?
Regards,
Jamieson.
Hi,
Just got onto the alpha. I played W:ET for a very long time (mostly public, but also some clanwars in the Liga4Fun and Freizeitliga). I bought ETQW and Brink, but I didnt play them a lot.
So lets influence thiy alpha and do some lobby work to make Dirty Momb more than W:ET

Welcome, UK servers tend to be popular between 18:00 & 00:00 GMT/BST.
Here’s a rough and ready graphic of when and where sessions (with 10 or more people) tend to be played:

Ty for that MrEd, I’ll try get on at those times although that doesn’t mean I won’t be checking at others.
Hi,
I bought the VIP Founder pack yesterday when I discovered this game. I used to be a huge fan of W:ET. I was playing a bit of competitive W:ET in TWL.
I also played a bit of ET:QW but at that time my friends didn’t really want to play that. When Brink came along I was able to convince my friends to get it, but sadly they mostly had ATI cards and the game didn’t work for them. So I ended up not playing Brink that much.
When I found out about this game yesterday, I really hoped this would be the next big shooter I would be able to put time into and convince my friends that this was the next big thing. So that is why I invested in the VIP Founder pack. It wasn’t really about all the stuff that came with the pack, but more about helping out the guys that gave me so much fun when I used to play W:ET and hopefully that money can help out to give me that awesome game that will be even better than W:ET.
Anyway sorry for my poor English, I hope to see you guys online and have some fun.

Nice to know!
I am one of the idiots who was “allowed” into the closed alpha. That is a quote from one of the comp players this week. Looking forward to seeing more people on the NA servers.
Nothing special about me. I just loved ETQW, disliked Brink, and I am hopeful for DB.
Hello all, just picked up the alpha today and look forward to joining a match (downloading now)
I loved Enemy Territory back in the day and hope DB can be as good or better.
Hello, I signed up yesterday after coming across DB in the search of games similar to ET.
I played ET competitively between 2003 and 2007ish. I got back into playing ET again around three months ago but it’s pretty much dead (Etpro) except for a few publics with mostly low skilled players which can be quite boring.
I got playing DB for around an hour last night and it looks very promising, I look forward to playing with everyone and giving my opinions and feedback on the game so far.
Hello,
I have been told to introduce myself here, so I will seize this opprtunity to also introduce my mates. So I and Tirok (who is my cousin) came to play ET:QW in 2010 if my memory is correct, we quickly went to promod since we are not fond of vehicules, big airstrikes and stuff. made some friends in a really small and splitted community, blablabla, here comes 2012, I organised some tourneys to be able to actually play some matches (http://stupidoz.free.fr/ftmleague/saison2.php). First 2 seasons were a success, then I had to withdraw because I started playing CoD4 and my team became quite serious.
Perf3ct and Axter are also from ET:QW, they both played in team spAnK, and played also a lot of CoD.
So we probably often compare Dirty Bomb with Enemy territory world and Call of duty world, which are both really intersting gameplay and in my opinion broadening the mind can be an asset.
We tried shootmania and tribes ascend, but could not get used to these hybrid FPS, which are nice games, but do not fit our tastes.
We will try to get our whole team ready on the alpha as soon as possible.
Good testing !
Hi,
I thought I could resist buying access but I finally caved in.
I got hooked on shooters with Quake/Quakeworld on dial up, and along the way the ET games were among my all time favorites. Currently I’ve been playing a lot of Planetside 2 after moving on from Battlefield 3 into which I put about 600 hours before burning out. Looking forward to digging in to Dirty Bomb now.
