Hey everybody!

My first experience with a MMO and FPS game was W:ET back in 2005. While I sucked and died constantly, I hadn’t experienced anything like it before or since. So ever since it started dying, I had to fill that void with something, so TF2 was the new placeholder. Yes, my new placeholder for the majesty that was W:ET was now TF2; the game known for its 13 year old mic spammers and as the reason there isn’t a HL3.

Well one day, like Killinfreak said, I randomly went to the SD website with a promotion for DB (which I constantly get confused with database, being a web developer), watched the pre-alpha gameplay of London Bridge and instantly fell in love. It was the new game to fill the W:ET void! While I know that this certainly isn’t ET having played the alpha for a couple days now, it is the next best thing and I want to help make it the best possible game it can be. I know that when it comes out that Killinfreak and I will be pushing our clan we co-own to get DB asap.

Hello, I’m Protekt1.

I’ve played plenty of fps games and shooters over time starting with Doom (but that game was nauseating to me so I couldn’t play it much). I’ve played just about every cornerstone fps out there. Big multiplayer ones for me were Golden Eye, Halo, RTCW, ET, FEAR, CS, CoD (just about every iteration), QW, BLR, Firefall… to name a few.

I’ve played some of those competitively at an amateur level and even some tournaments and lans but nothing serious. The best thing I ever won was some gaming gear, that is all.

There ya go, my pretty bland gaming history in a nutshell.

I’m here cause I loved ET back in the day. I was in college and from having played RTCW I thought the game would be pretty good and I was right. I’m basically in this alpha cause of strychzilla tho :slight_smile:

Born in 1980, I’ve had just about every console there was. I switched to pc when a buddy of mine introduced me to Wolfenstein 3D. Been hooked ever since. I paly all types of games but mainly FPS and RTS style games.

Started competing in COD4 and started my own team, Team Grey Matter. I’d like to get my team playing this game since the FPS games for PC have been lacking and the developers have been focusing more on console…hence the COD series is dying.

Funny you mention those; We have 6 or 7 Intellivisions (only 2 working) because of how common they would break - Intellivision is what got me into Role Playing Games with the FIRST Dungeons and Dragons game (it was first person dungeon crawler) while the sequel was an overhead map game that was nothing like it and very dissapointing.

I was addicted to SPACE SPARTANS! with the added voice module to have my robo-voice tell me things in game (sort of)- We have a colecovision and 2 or 3 Atari 2600’s, PONG. I think I can honestly say that I have every console aside from things like The NGAGE (in a Captain Picard voice) and the newest things like the Wii-U or Sony PSVita? etc.

I am most likely going to grab the Nvidia Streaming handheld and perhaps the Razer PC Gaming Tablet as they both seem VERY interesting.

YES! So for all the ones who are interested I’m a friendly finnish dude who (so they tell me) sounds like an old man… and I’m starting to get there too(turning 28 soon). I come from the etqw community and love the guys there… even rex! :stuck_out_tongue:

You can have DJScream but we are so few here and dont have any spares. Also yumi said she doesnt like to play shooters anymore :<<
