A quick review by Woody, one of the major COD Youtube commentators. He has some pull with the COD crowd.
In the news...
First written PAX preview, by Gamepro. Nothing new or exciting revealed in it.
He said he only played it for 15 minutes - that isn’t long enough to navigate the menus let alone make a statement about controls - unless it is LAIR or something.
If he is a CoD gamer, then almost any controls for any game would feel a tad clunky. One thing Infinity Ward did right was tight controls. Having said that, what can you expect in a game that offers movements like wall jumping. He compared it to Battlefield, and that makes the cut for me.
I absolutely hate head bobbing in BC2 and it will be the same in Brink…but i read somewhere that in Brink we will be able to turn it off…so its cool
He also compared it to BC2, which I have seen a lot of COD players do, since COD overall is a faster game than BC2. It “feels” clunky to them, but in reality, is not.
BC2 controls and feel is absolute garbage.
If Brink is anything like that, theres no way I’ll be playing it.
What the ****… did I miss something… Richard looks so different without his beard ;(
I preferred his HOUSE Hugh Laurie look rather than the 1990’s Hugh Laurie look that he’s sporting now.

Some ironic statements made in this preview…
I’ll let you figure out which ones cough

Thanks for the heads-up, Humate. Dang, Game Hounds is about the only site right now that is providing any meaningful coverage of PAX (they had an excellent article on BF3, as well). All the other big blogs are just showing pictures of cosplay and sh!t. Unfrickin’ believable. Thanks, it was a good read. Very positive!
Another ability called Adrenaline Boost is specific to the Medic Class. It lets you make an ally temporarily invincible then take all of the damage they suffered at once. Adrenaline Boost can particularly advantageous when trying to capture opposing team’s command post.
Dont know if anyone already knew, thought id post it just incase anyone missed it, was in a recent review. Sounds quite powerful.

can medic use adrenaline boost on himself? this will be powerful:) (or sharing adrenaline boost between other medics)
ps. Violence is not the answer. It is the solution;)
Yeah that was spoken about last week. After it wears off you die from all the damage sustained. Would be good for getting an explosive armed/disarmed etc.
