Not in my experience. They sit too far away from the action.
In the news...
I don’t think that’s the case at least in BC2. I often get high enough as 20-4 in a match while playing recon, so do others.
Is that on Rush when you’re meant to be blowing up the M-COM stations?
I’ve had soooo many games where there’s lots of snipers on the team, and we don’t actually move forward. Well done you got some kills… but the objective is to blow up the stations!

Last off-topic post from me. :o
A sniper can be really helpful, if he knows what he is doing, in almost all Rush maps. But people tend to play as snipers for boosting their k/d, something I abhor. When on the offensive and losing the match big time, I, like others play as recon just to troll the other team. It’s quite comedic actually.
Otherwise, I play as whichever class is needed by the team.
Playing as sniper in a serious match just doesn’t appeal to me since I play BC2 and W:ET for objective and teamwork driven gameplay (and also because W:ET is free) rather than pwning people. Playing as a lone-wolf sniper deprives one from that experience.
I had a sniper of the worst sort play in a bunch of Squad Rush games one night. He spawned, and ran immediately to the very edge of the map behind our spawn, got behind cover and took potshots at the other team. Only moved up when the second MCOM was completely out of sight from his initial position.
Based on his scores, he averaged about 1.25 kills per round. And I’m pretty sure he never spotted either.
a couple more previews.

and another, this one should be the last of the ones before PAX starts.

That cheatCC article has some neat info about unlocking stuff and XP and whatnot, but it says Brink is 1-8 players. I thought it was 8 vs 8.
No, I mean that preview makes it sound like up to 8 players can play Brink together. I thought you could have 8 guys per side shooting each other.
you can have up to 8 people play together.
Brink has single player, up to 8 player co-op and full 8v8 MP.
This has been debated and talked over a lot, but is there going to be a demo yes or no? Because I’m dying to get my clan to play Brink, but a lot of them are doubting still
