it worked fine lag free when i first played but after i reinstalled it freezes,as soon as i click to skip the video

Nice iv been upgrading bit by bit with qw in mind to i suspose. What gfx card you use? Sorry for the off topic-ness of it all.

Try letting it run through the video to the end and see what happens 
Checklist.
- Reinstall from a different download
Scan for all viruses, trojans and spyware
Defragment the hard drive
Update your windows on Windows Update
I’d still buy RAM even if it did run before. though if all the above doesn’t work a reformatt is the only option I can think of.

try to get someone’s profiles for some reason i have had this problem on my notebook, i copyed profile directory from my pc and it worked fine

i w8ed for video to end it does the same and i already said and quote “I DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANYTHING BECAUSE THIS GAME IS FREE” i might try what u said jaqu or defrag and disable ne thing i dont need runnin

Just because its a free game dont mean you wont have to buy something to run it, if your pc is shit it might come to that.
Doesnt sound like you really tryed everything on that list either think you want an easy solution, you said you deleted the game of your pc altogether (including the folder in your progamme files) and redownloaded it did u actually do it?

You don’t want to buy anything because its fre…hmmm…I bought a whole new PC just to get to play ET in decent FPS. If, whenever you get it running, want to play with 4-5FPS thats up to you. I was much happier paying for an upgrade to play ET better than to play <insert generic other FPS>, ET is worth the upgrade and if you don’t think so play FEAR…Oh wait that won’t run either… :banghead:
