Good ol’ Gamfaqs. I remember when you used to be relevant, circa 2002
How to turn Brink's epic fail into Brink's epic WIN !
I didn’t get past page 1
Game was supposed to change everything; was average at best with no staying power
I can’t find a good answer as to how I spent years playing the santa **** in COD over and over but I was bored of certain brink maps in weeks
Ah yes. I made a thread that was similar to one here. Laughing at the peak of brink. That got a lot of fanboys to rage and call the mod to hide the truth so they can swim in their ignorance.
After that, I got bored and thought that I got all the enjoyment I could so I did some stuff to some users and then got perma banned.

Hahaha. You remind me of JEFF from the UK show Coupling! The more you talk the worse it gets.
Lol. Don’t make me do the same thing I did to their forum please =/
(Not trying to sound tuff, and it’s not that hard or great or anything. It’s actually the 2nd to lowest level of trolling which requires barely any skill or art so I don’t like it that much).
*P.S. you can’t ban me. The only way you can get rid of me for good is to bore me.

Then go play BRINK. It bores you according to you. Get bored. Take your ball and go home. We’ll miss you terribly.
Ok. I lied on the last part.
I’m not convinced SD sees it like that.
They broke the sales numbers of ETQW.
At what cost ? That’s not the same as profit. They pumped a mountain of money into advertising. Almost everyone in the internet was pumped for this game. Adverts on buses, in TV. I was going to say development prolonged by 1 year costs money too, but ET:QW was also late.
because of your dissatisfaction with one game? Really? Just ask someone for a hug. You’ll feel way better.
Why? Are you really that spiteful that 1 game you didn’t enjoy makes you wish that 70+ people became jobless?
If you got your wishes the movie industry would have crumbled ages ago with that sort of logic.
You’re just being mean because you’re upset.
Edit: i see you say 2 games now. Shouldn’t you have learnt after the first one?
Oh. Well then lets go. Liquidation it is. Lets just throw SD, nearly 100 highly creative people and their families, under the bus because you can’t find fun in the money you spent willingly? Got it!
Can we liquidate your posts, while we’re at it?

Two games I didn’t enjoy. I thought it couldn’t be worse after Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Connection drops, crashes, bad performance. But Splash Damage seems to be on a downward trend. If they can’t make a good game, they shouldn’t be making games. Maybe if they lost their jobs they would spread around and join different companies, and be more effective under more competent management.
There were huge number enraged people after release. It’s because they have been misled by marketing.

You make it sound like it would be a bad thing.

which is it? SD are bad developers or SD is under bad management?
I think SD should make a complaints forum, and those that are solely here to complain and not contribute in any way, shape or form should only be allowed to post there. I’m not saying they don’t have justification, but I’ve not heard anything new come from any complainer in a very long time, and well it’s getting old tbh. When it comes to a point when every post is the same old complaints repeated over and over, then you’ve descended into destructiveness and all constructiveness is gone. Basically you’re no use to anyone now, and your only purpose here is to ruin other peoples enjoyment of the game, which drops you from a legitimate complaining customer to a pathetic child.
2 games now you’ve not enjoyed, great… take the hint and don’t buy a 3rd, and hopefully we won’t have to see your mug around here when the next game comes out. There’s several things about Brink that I wasn’t happy about, I’ve made my feelings known and moved on… no need to keep repeating things over and over.
Hey look, I can whine too!

You realise that marketing is Bethesda and not SD right?
Also: Yes. Movies are awesome. Just because there are bad movies doesn’t make all movies bad.
I enjoyed ET:QW too. I didn’t experience much in the way of issues (although I played mostly LAN with friends and not online much). It seems to be your personal taste since ET:QW had a dedicated, if niche, following. And SD do continue to make similar games so if you don’t like the style then steer clear. I don’t know what other advise to give.
I agree with this, bit sick of all this posts that just say brink is dead / brink sux / etc, or maybe make the forum admins be more pro active against bashing posts that are just that.
If I was a carpenter, an electrician, a mechanic, a plumber or any other “skilled labor” and I did a job that was very poor and the something failed, when I was supposed to be done with the work, guess what, I WOULD BE working for free to fix the problems and restore my customers faith in me. I would even do another job at a major discount to restore their faith in me. Its standard business practice in any other profession. Where is your logic now? You people are obviousely not working in a skilled profession or you would know better than to even make a stupid comment like that.
Also, I would expect them to me upset with me, if I did a poor job,and I certainly would not berate them for being unhappy with my finished product. They are the people that pay me so, I better listen to them.
I’m curious - what job do you do, exactly?
The process of games business, roughly speaking goes; dev studio pitches an idea, submits to publisher, who then agrees to funding who in turn strike deals with retailers. They sell units, bulk buy, so giving a rough idea of returns.
The retailers bulking buying power means they get cheap prices, while the publisher invests in the development cycle so they get their percentage as well.
After the feeding frenzy, the dev studio takes whatever they can, hopefully with a little profit to pitch their next project - the real life stuff like paying salaries, bills and so on, to tick over until they get their next publishing contract.
Now here’s a question for the SD guys - How long did crunch last on Brink?

You do realize that’s what most people are going to do. They will never buy an SD game again. Sure you can say stuff like “Good, no more you/complainers”. But you’re not going to even have anyone to play with.
