How to turn Brink's epic fail into Brink's epic WIN !

(DarkangelUK) #81

My future enjoyment or fun factor has absolutely nothing to do with my comments towards whiners.

Hehe sayings like that just put a smile on my face tbh

but good luck in trying to make that happen
So let me see if I understand this correctly. Because you yourself felt you were in essence robbed by the lack of content in Brink, you come on the forum and in essentially rant about how those who support the game as it is are “fanboys”, not taking into account that there are a lot of people who actually do enjoy the game, flaws and all. As far as your arguments of what Brink is missing…been there, done that. We all know what the game lacks. We’ve all discussed it until we’re blue in the face. And majority of us have made peace with the fact that the game was pretty much incomplete when it was shipped. Your sentiments about paying $60 for a beta aren’t misplaced. Not at all even…

…what IS misplaced is your obvious juvenile resentment. Do you know why you see more posts on forums from people “hating” on Brink then people praising it? Because the people who like the game…are to busy PLAYING the game. And what’s more is the fact that people like you (and I say it like that because there are more then enough of “you”) pan anyone who disagrees, and makes valid points in their disagreement with your views as being fanboys. AKA…the easy way to deny that there are two sides of the coin. People hate Brink. People love Brink. Reason why the people who hate it seem to be more adamant to voice (or more so force) there opinions on everyone else is because the people who love the game could care less what the opinions of the naysayers are. Sooooooooooo then someone like you happens along making a completely deprecating post meant to deliberately elicit a negative reaction from the community. There’s a word they use on the internet for that I think.

Oh yes, I remember it now. Trolling.

Had your presentation been a little more…I dunno… conducive to the subject matter of the thread and less a sad, pathetic attempt to get attention, I might have actually sympathized with your statements. But as it stands, it’s all drivel…and if anyone even remotely takes any of what you posted seriously, they’re even more naive then you are. And no, that’s not me insulting you…though I can assume that’s how you’ll take it anyway. Even if as you said “you like the game, just not the state it’s in”, there’s a right way to address it, and a wrong way. Your way is so far on the wrong way side it’s practically faded from view.
Look here fanboy, I dont even care what comes out of your mouth. I did not read that long drawn out leg riding session but I dfo know one this because I have read plenty of your crap. It’s a long winded fanboy, leg riding all the way home. If you are happy with what you got, you are an idiot. Period. Also, if ALL of you are having SOOOOOO much fun playing the game, what are you doing here, leg riding , all of the time. Should you not be taking your own advice and playing the game that you love sooooo much instead of being a fanboy leg rider here?
I’m curious - what job do you do, exactly?

The process of games business, roughly speaking goes; dev studio pitches an idea, submits to publisher, who then agrees to funding who in turn strike deals with retailers. They sell units, bulk buy, so giving a rough idea of returns.

The retailers bulking buying power means they get cheap prices, while the publisher invests in the development cycle so they get their percentage as well.

After the feeding frenzy, the dev studio takes whatever they can, hopefully with a little profit to pitch their next project - the real life stuff like paying salaries, bills and so on, to tick over until they get their next publishing contract.

Now here’s a question for the SD guys - How long did crunch last on Brink?
What does ANY of that have to do with releasing a game in a **** state and still not having done anything to fix it, for consoles, nearly 2 months after release? Where does that fall into what you posted? As for me, Im an electrician, I take pride in my work and I dont “finish” a job and leave it in a state of ****. Anymore questions?

Why is that you simpletons cant figure this out? It has nothing to do with a bad game, its poor business practices, releasing unplayable **** and then not fixing it in a timely manner. Its pretty simple, even for some of you.

SD DO YOU WANT PEOPLE LIKE ME OFF OF THESE FORUMS? I will tell you how to do it. Its a one step process. FIX THE GODDAMN GAME!

Lol, Gamefaqs.

Oz is a confirmed fanboy. I made the thread about how low brinks pop was (it was like 2000 at the time). He almost started crying and raged and reported me and I got banned.

I’m sorry if you don’t like the truth bursting your ignorance bubble.

(bastuden(banned)) #87

you mad bro?

(NigelDocker) #88

Oh yeh your not a troll…
[or trying to troll lol]

(nick1021) #89

Sad. Wasted potential here. If you are going to get your account banned and do a low level of trolling go even lower and post gorepics everywhere. That should piss off a few people.

No I’m not mad bro. I’m sad, bro. Sad for you )=

Bad Company 2 (xbox) was laggy for months after release - and they have dedicated servers. It was well after 2 months before they addressed the issue, and still to this day, the game still has bugs. Many games, good ones or not, have problems that take time to fix and on console they can take even longer, since MS and Sony need to to give the OK for everything before it can be released. I suggest you un-bunch your panties. They seem to be riding so far up you ass, they are interfering with the stick that is already there.

Why is that you simpletons cant figure this out? It has nothing to do with a bad game, its poor business practices, releasing unplayable **** and then not fixing it in a timely manner. Its pretty simple, even for some of you.

The game obviously isn’t unplayable, since me and others on this forum, play it frequently.

(nick1021) #91

The game obviously is unplayable, since me and every person who stopped playing it/returned it can’t play it frequently.

BC2 still had rubberbanding issues at xmas. Black ops still has lag and hit detection problems. Brink still lags but its gotten noticeably better. I dont play it all the time but i enjoy it. It seems tailormade for folk like me, who don’t care about stats. Like objective, team based games and aren’t mad all the time
