How Do You Like The New Lobby?

(MarsRover) #81

@Merciless - it’s ONE mode. One. Out of four, and in the near future five when Execution comes out. And it only makes it hard to play on the same team. You can play on the same server.

And I see plenty of teamwork with random people in pubs. If I didn’t I would have quit a long time ago. So save me all those derogatory “go play CoD TDM” comments. It’s just that almost by definition it is less effective than an organised group.

(Atherel) #82

Just because I queue up solo doesn’t mean that I play solo. You can play as a team with people you don’t know. It’s not as easy as with friends on Teamspeak but it is possible.

You are seeing this way to dark. Objective mode is the casual mode. The “real” mode for Dirty Bomb is Stopwatch. Everything is balanced around Stopwatch and you can still play with friends in this main mode.

(Atherel) #83

@PurpleNurple If you have so much time to play on your hands, you have time to play stopwatch.

And with all the money you spent on this game, you don’t really need the credits and xp. So take your clanmates and play on private. I don’t see your problem.

Oooooh you can’t stomp some casuals with your friends on Objective anymore.

Yes I can play with friends in that mode but I prefer playing quick 15 minutes max games. I mostly play casual objective mode games for that one reason. I despise Stopwatch. It’s too long for me.

Well for me in Dirty Bomb I count 2 modes. Maybe I’m crazy. There’s Objective Mode and Stopwatch Mode. Am I missing something here? When Execution comes out that will be a total of 3. Now, tell me the difference between teamwork/communication with people in your game and me having teamwork/communication with a friend of mine.

I honestly do not see a problem with someone wanting to communicate and play along side a friend or friends of theirs. No body is talking about stomping here… It has never happened to me that I have faced a clan of 6,7 or 8 people in a casual game before. Not once on 400+ hours spent on this game. Some people just want to be able to communicate and have teamwork with friends with who they enjoy playing with. Is that too much to ask?

(MarsRover) #85

So do you play 1 Objective match and then quit? Because Stopwatch is 2 Objective matches. I don’t get all the “I hate Stopwatch” comments.

Objective
Stopwatch
Competitive
Execution
Private matches (where you can even enable FF)

You know each other and can coordinate more. We can’t.

(Sussepus) #86

need a way to pick mercs after you know which team you end up on.
attacking and defending doesnt always require the same mercs.
The rest is fine i guess.

@MarsRover
doesnt most people play one objective game and then leave?
because every game i play the server empties after each match.
Stopwatch is fine until you see that teams are loopsided. playing on loopsided team one match is ok, doing it twice is waste of time for many people.
I haven’t played DB for awhile because of my Rainbow Six Siege access, but seeing that you can’t play with friends anymore just pushes me away even further.

I’m tired of companies balancing games around anti social people who don’t want to team up with others. If you’re getting stomped it’s no one’s fault but your own. If you’re tired of getting stomped go into the recruitment section of the forums and join a damn clan. Not only will your team work get better you’ll be able to get tips on how you can improve and learn little secrets to the game you didn’t know about.

I’m really disappointed with what crowd is being catered to. This game is all about team work and it’s being balanced around people who want to run around like they’re playing CoD. I’m not going to vote because obviously I haven’t tried out the new lobby and can’t give a serious opinion on it.
So your answer about stacking teams is to suck it up? Congratz mate. And the game allow you to play with your friends, stop being so salty and go play stopwatch/private/competitive. Since you like to talk about clans and all.

(bontsa) #88

All these arguements starting “If I can’t play with friends anymore” sound like Objective is sole only thing DB has to offer, and that is just wrong.

(watsyurdeal) #89

It’s where the player population is, and not only that the problem with stopwatch is people often leave after the first half if it doesn’t go well for them.

Objective is the quickest drop in and out to play mode, there’s no arguing that.

(Amerika) #90

I do agree that a small party system should have been put in along with this feature…but damn. The last two nights have had some of the most fun and balanced pubs I’ve ever played in.

(MilkyBear) #91

While i like the balance for Obj, it is more enjoyable now. But still, trying to play with your friends is still a pain in the ***. Hope you guys include a small party system soon.

(Merci1ess) #92

You know each other and can coordinate more. We can’t.
Well that’s the point! That’s the perk of having friends. I’m being punished for having friends I can communicate better with. Listen to yourselves. It’s silly! Lmao.

Exactly

You want to split up parties because they can talk and you can’t…then use your freaking mic and stop being a lone wolf.

Why should Splash appeal to you when you’re not even trying to play with other people the way they intended?

Exactly! And this game is about completing an objective as a team! I could’ve sworn hearing “Teamwork is key” in the tutorial when I first started up this game.

(Sinee) #95

You know each other and can coordinate more. We can’t.
So that means I’m not allowed to be on the same team as someone I usually communicate with? Fuck that. If you’re saying this is an essential change because I have a partner who I can talk to and you don’t, then use your mic and talk to your team. Like… ??? wtf?

(Atherel) #96

@Mercy I can’t speak for the others but I’m not talking about 2 persons playing together but 3-4+ coordinated players wanting to be in the same team. No mic-usage can re-balance this. It’s not only about talking together but also about always playing together and having strategies.

I would be OK if a group of 2-3 people can join one team (depending on server size).

(MarsRover) #97

@Mercy @Merciless @Watsyurdeal

Wow, you grabbed 10 words and just run with it. I didn’t think is was necessary, but let me rephrase then. Maybe because English is not my native language.
“You know each other and can coordinate more. We can’t do it a good as you.”

I wrote this at least a few times in all the threads about this. Never said randoms can’t communicate. Never said anything about not allowing communication. But please, keep putting words in my mouth if you don’t have any arguments except “wah wah I can’t stack in ALL modes”.

Let’s not loose the sight of what this change really is. This isn’t a “let’s ban playing with friends change”, it’s a “objective mode is more balanced” change. And it’s doing its job pretty well. We don’t have a casual MM system. This is the next best thing. And you still ignore the fact that DB in fact has other modes. If you can’t understand that, then it is you who is unreasonable.

(watsyurdeal) #98

Even still, you’re complaining about something that is pretty stupid.

So people can coordinate better, welcome to a team based shooter.

And as we have stated before, competitve’s player pool is small and it takes forever to find a decent match. And stopwatch is not much better. Objective is the best place to join a game, and drop in and out quickly.

(Reaxgrim) #99

I like the changes to the ui.

(Atherel) #100

How about you let us filthy casuals play Objective and all you important coordinated groups go play Stopwatch and Competitive against each other? Then you have enough players.

Don’t play the casual mode and then complain about it not being made for coordinated teams.
