i was just wondering how everyone got thier hands on e.t.
it had bar none advertising and it wasnt exactly destined for success as a abandondoned exp to RTCW. but look where it is now.
How did YOU first learn about E.T.
I guess I stumbled on it. I was looking for one of my old favorites, a weird version of Q3a, and I saw it. I guess it was worth a try, so I downloaded it. Now I’m addicted.
I was starting to get into CS, and a friend of mine told me about ET. Downloaded it, gave it a try, and have since uninstalled CS and Half-Life. CS was fun for shooting other people, but the team play, classes, and objective based gameplay was more what I really wanted.
Most anybody who played RtCW was watching ET from conception. Even though it ended up free, I was slightly disappointed because I was really looking forward to what the single player aspect was promising.
I was looking through my Dad’s collection of APC computer magazine discs, and saw the Wolfenstein, so I checked it out, and the rest they say is history.
was talking to someone on AIM and he said you tried enemy territory and I said no then he linked me up that was when it had just came out (after the beta)
i think i was doing some surfing and i happened to actually look at an advertisement saying “Enemy Territory is out” and it looked a bit like RTCW so i thought, why not.
I thought it was a demo and good for a few kicks. i’m happy i was wrong.
Got it from the PC Gamer CD! I just started playing and just joined the forum. Hi All.
Welcome dforce…
I’m an RtCW vet so as chavo there said, I’ve been watching and waiting since day one. Just too bad nobody likes my server yet. :bored:
I was browsing old news in one Finnish web page (www.mbnet.fi) that said a ET was released for free. I was like “what is this” a nice FPS. I Must try it. So the game made me a mapper!
The month before ET was released, I played a lot of UT offline (yes, offline) because of internet problems. When everything was back to normal, I couldn’t wait to play online again, and after reading about ET on GameSpot, I downloaded it and the rest is history. I had never played RTCW prior to this.
After playing RTCW to death I followed the development of ET closely and downloaded the fuel dump beta the day it came out, not put ET down since.
i learned about ET from some smelly friend of mine with a cp gamer thankgod bf1942 getting boring

whoops…mighty been sombody i know.
:poke:
Im here from the Beach Demo days too… Got a little bored of the gloomy maps in RTCW and ET got me straight back into it, been playing it almost daily since the beta test of Fuel Dump…
Good, you have find out the spirit of Wolfenstein!
I play Wolfenstein online since RtCW-Release (Beach-Demo), and before it Wolfenstein 3D… :notworthy:
So i came automatically to Enemy Territory.
(NdK)
Like most of the RTCW community, I’d been anticipating the arrival of ET for months before it actually landed. Been playing since Test and despite brief diversions into Halo and COD I’m still here.
