They’re looking for loopholes in the alpha build, or cheaters in the alpha testers group?
Hi from Nexon America!
This is pretty good news! I like how it’s going now. Hope the game will be cheater free as long as possible.
Seen the fact that Nexon has published quite a lot games before, I really think they’re doing a good one on this as well. On the other hand, it’s their name as well if it takes a wrong turn, so I think everyone can be confident about a decent anti cheat.
The best anti cheat tool is to keep the eastern (CIS) guys out of the game
Wasnt a serious post, just in case
Hello Min,
thanks for your clarifications. I have a couple of questions that don’t make me sleep about Extraction:
Are we gonna rent gameservers with official hosts (fragnet, multiplay, etc) for the competitions?
There will be any way to totally exclude any pay-stuff for unranked/competitive match, in order to play all with the same game?
I never played F2P games and I don’t really understand how the competitive side could be managed in order to have a balanced, not p2w game to bring on esl/cb.
Sorry for bad spaghetti-english and thanks again.
Well this is a sad day.
So Nexon brings you guys the knowledge about anticheat? Wow thats poor.
A quick google search reveals how easy it is to circumvent Nexon’s anticheat.
Out of words here.

As far as I know the tests Crispy is referring to were not using shipping anti-cheat used in previous Nexon games, it’s a different tool.
We’re investigating multiple anti-cheat solutions for the shipping version of Extraction and we take cheating, and protecting against it, very seriously.
Just so you know my stance, I’ve played CA, the game is atrocious, p2w, and loaded with cheaters. My faith in your company is right about [-|----] there. The only reason it isn’t 1 bar, is because I find PWE to be an even worse publisher. The only reason I am not requesting a refund is because of my faith in Splash Damage. I am critical, straight forward, and committed to the success of this game. I’m glad that Splash Damage is adamant on Xt not being a P2W title because that will be it’s saving grace now that your name is attached to it.
With all that being said, Welcome Aboard to the Xt community. I was really looking forward to SD finally having the opportunity to develop and publish their own title. It’s respectable for them to notice that they needed assistance and are taking the steps required to get it. Hopefully, things will turn out for the better and my opinion will change about your company. See you in-game.
This.
SD, Nexon and Fireteam are collaborating on working out a good anti-cheat solution. Once we have more details, we’ll share them.
This is huge. I’m excited to see what details you come up with.
When you said measurable advantage, does that include sidegrades (something that doesn’t give an advantage but changes playstyle like soldier 1 to soldier 2)?
Playstyle changes is not advantage if both are equally balanced overall. Sure it may be easier for certain types of people to break into, but that doesn’t mean that it is mathematically superior. I think it is a common mistake when the strength of things are judged based on personal effectiveness because in many cases that doesn’t necessarily represent the actual strength when played to a maximum.
Hi, Nexon! I have a couple of questions to ask please if possible reply to them.
-
Monetization of the game. How can u make money off a purely competitive game? What is there to sell? Weapon skins and character models? You can’t profit by doing just that.
-
Competitive side. You have failed with making Combat Arms big competitive wise (though its a great income source), what are your plans on this game? GO4Extraction @ esl right at launch with prize money? Lans? Tournaments?
Thank you for your time.

If you see the prices they ask you will be stunned. 15$ for a cap or 60$ for an outfit. I’m quite shocked by these prices, but luckily splashdamage decides what the price will be in Xt. I suspect one character will cost around 15 dollar.
Still you can’t make money off characters/skins. You need constant flow of new content people would want to pay for which is a hard thing to come up with in a competitive game.
- xt is not gonna have 1% of lol playerbase
- you cant compare arcadish moba game which became competitive thanks to its simplicity with pretty hardcore fps
- competitive players not gonna pay money to buy skins
he joined day before name change, maybe unhappy with name choice and being grumpy, or butt hurt

idk if ur talking about me but really i just cant see fps game operating solely on skins. its not possible.
