I don’t think you gave the game enough of a chance, the first hour I played I couldn’t stand it. I couldn’t even fricken tell when I was getting shot up and dieng, my bullets never hit anything, my aiming methods didn’t work.

But then I realized…this is exactly what it felt like when I first started playing wolf. It’s just a new game man, you can get used to it.

After a few hours of adapting, I am back to ripping up an average of 5 players per run (cuz im bad ass like that :wink: ). It just takes getting used to.

I myself have never played BF, but I definitely like ET, I liked the original wolf too. There is alot of room for improvement, mainly in netcode, but it is on the right path. If they really want to change the weapons that bad, let them. It isn’t hard to adapt.

As for the XP system, it RULES! Honestly, without the XP system…I wouldn’t bother playing ET. Without it, ET would just be a funky version of wolf with new weapons and a command map, not worth adapting to.

The XP system encourages players to play their role. It encourages medics to revive and heal, it encourages engineers to fix things, it encourages everyone to do their part. No one cared about the score system in the old wolf, you didn’t get anything for scoring high, other than being called a point-whore. But with XP, you get rewarded, quite greatly.

Knowing that if you keep doing your part well, you can get akimbo pistols, great weapons handing skills, trap detection, and sweet class abilities, you become very motivated to play your role in the team that you were intended to do in wolf all along.

Aside from encouraging teamwork, running around as a maxed out medic (or any other class really) is just buckets of fun.

Please man, spend atleast 5 hours on ET and then come back and tell me what you think. Could you do that man?? Just give it 5 hours.

The only problem I doubt will ever be addresses is sounds…and that’s just getting picky if you ask me. Besides, we can always have someone mod the game for that :).

Worse thing about ET is the fags that complain about a free game.

If you don’t like something, give constructive feedback or just play some other game. Splash damage could never make everybody happy with ET, it’s nearly impossible.

If they made it identical to the last, people would complain there isn’t anything new, and it’s just like a map pack.

ET ownz, I loved Regular Wolf AND Battlefield but this is even better, and thats just after one map.

This is only a TEST - it’s not the full version as this test I guess was to get opinions on gameplay and to find any bugs that they hadn’t found.

So I find myself rest assured that the guys at SD will sort these things out, otherwise a lot of people will be unhappy :frowning:

Hang around for the full release people - it’ll end up being far different from the test now that SD have had this feedback.
