“It easy for me to hit it with my trackball thumb,”
there you go ryan.
That it becomes useless is only your opinion. I think its a good assignment because it avoids conflicts for same reasons as fire and ironsights.
Yes, an emtpy button on your mouse is very usefull. :<
What’s a fake weaponbank?
Anyway, I prefer a weaponbank so I can use my other keys which are more comfortable to hold for more important things then selecting a weapon.
Ok, now I understand what u mean with ALT.
I would still rather prefer a weaponbank over that option though.
Maybe u just suck with your gun?
VoIP is very important for me in scrimmage.
Whatever, look at every other game released recently.
Like ETQW and W:ET?
Cause THAT is SD heritage and I was hoping that they would bring that same philosophy into this game.

First of all,
welcome to the discussion Shiv.
Glad you could join us.
Anyway, you always respond to someone elses question?
I just happen to find it rather curious how someone can still keep his hands on the mouse AND on his keypad at the same time.
And about the poll:
I think that people who like BRINK are voting on this poll.
It is open for anyone, whatever anyones bind preferences may be.
Tell me, how is it biased, and also which option get’s the more “biased” votes?
(Sorry english isn’t my native tongue so forgive me for the wrong use of this word if it is)
PS: What is so wrong with wanting both options in?
Thats only your opinion, its not a fact. What happened to all your facts?
VoIP is very important for me in scrimmage.
Voip is so important you should have it on hands free voice activation, not a button.

Actually it was a question…
Get your facts straight, lol

What game has THAT?

It was an insulting question which is a bit different. Shows that you aren’t confident of your “facts” and are resorting to insults.

Maybe you should conduct your ‘private’ discussions via pm and not on a public forum and certainly not in a thread where you solicit other people’s opinions.
I think that people who like BRINK are voting on this poll.
It is open for anyone, whatever anyones bind preferences may be.
Shiv and senethro have already said this but I’ll go into more depth if you aren’t following their gist. Ignoring the poll phrasing and the biased op, the poll is open to anyone registered on this site and if you look at the names you’re likely to recognize them from ET:QW. Now there’s nothing wrong with SD/ET:QW fans so far as my doctor has told me but that poll base is going to be biased to what has been in Splash Damage games in the past. If Brink was just aimed at Splash Damage’s current fan base then the poll might be a more fair guide for Splash Damage to follow. However, if Splash Damage wants to aim at a broader slice of the market (as they do: sp/mp mix, char dev, SMART, etc.), they have to look at what mega hits like the CoD series is doing for a little perspective.
And this is?
The question was to point out that because u have 20% grenade kills doesn’t mean you are good with that thing. It could also mean u (…) with other things so that your stats allow you that grenades have such an impact on the total percentage.
Rather then addressing me, why don’t u give me an answer?

Your question was asking me if I suck with guns which is irrelevent to the discussion. What kind of answer do you want?
Ok, if u view it like that the poll is biased by ET:QW players.
Then this poll say’s what most ET:QW players would like to see then.
It is relevant to what you brought up by saying what your amount of kills with grenades is, 20%.
I state that this COULD be caused by (your) lack in skills in other area’s.
As for the answer:
One in which u say how I use VoIP without a button.
And what game uses that…?
I think he more meant dedicated VOIP programs such as Ventrilo, as those are most popular with comp and clan players rather than in-game VOIP… and those have push-to-talk or voice activated.
ah yea, I know Ventrilo and TS.
I thought he was talking about ingame voice chat, I was.
I talk on servers asswell with VoIP because not all my friends are in the same TS/Vent
Then u must die everytime u have thrown your grenade.
PS: How u press your numpad_enter while running and shooting?
First off, here is my trackball http://www.connectreviews.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/kensington_expertmouse.jpg
You use your fingers to control it, not your thumb like a lot of trackballs. You use your thumb and pinkie for mouse 1 and 2.
I keep it close to my keyboard so I can easily press numpad_enter with my thumb, while still controlling the trackball with my fingers, and I can still press mouse 1 with my index finger, or mouse 2 with pinkie.
Second, why would I die everytime I throw a nade? My nade button is mapped somewhere close to WASD, my VOICE is mapped to numpad_enter…and I typically don’t talk unless I am in the clear, not during firefights.
Yes, an emtpy button on your mouse is very usefull. :<
I typically don’t bind actions to mouse 4 and 5. I try to keep as much as I can on the keyboard.
VoIP is very important for me in scrimmage.
more proof that this whole argument is about personal preference, and not what the masses want.

What else responds can I give to that then my personal opinion?
Don’t take stuff out of context please.
And I don’t have a trackball mouse so yea, me PREFERENCES are different then your’s.
That’s whats this entire thread is about. About people who PREFER a weaponbank or auto-prime.
I just clarify WHY my preferences are the way they are.
Ryan, you’re wasting time. They don’t have tolerance for other points of view. If it’s good for them, it’s good for everyone. Don’t waste reason on them, they are not worth it. People below certain threshold can’t be reasoned with, they don’t want to be reasoned with. They will just stretch anything so that it superficially resembles an argument for anyone too stupid to fall for it.
Learn to recognize too stupid people. Put them on ignore list. They’re not ones you want to convince, anyway. You want to convince developers, community managers, moderators and the like. You don’t help your cause by arguing with trolls.
Have a look at these:

That’s brilliant! I’ll do it right now. Oh and don’t bother responding to this.
I’d like to think that he would have responded “Touché, tokamak”, but as a lesser being below a certain threshold, that’s probably just me being too stupid.
For what is worth, Battlefield Bad Company 2 has only a dedicated button for grenades, which I binded to one of my mouse buttons. Feels very natural and takes away the select grenade, fire, reselect gun steps. You can’t cook them in this game though, if you hold the button down, you just delay the moment you throw it, but in no way I felt this prevented me from navigating around.
Sucks having only a two button mouse I guess.
