Yea, just remember what happened to the German ‘Quake IV’ …

Activision aimed for a ‘16+’-rating, so they cut all blood from the game and even cut scenes (including the stroggification process) were taken out. This lead so far that the German version was incompatible with the ‘international’ one effectively separating them from the rest of the world (ok, one might argue that this was actually a good feature… :roll:). I’m not sure if is fixed now…

Anyway, I imported the UK Special Edition to avoid all of this and plan to do the same with ETQW, although I don’t think it will have the same problems violence-wise… :slight_smile:

I stated this in another thread, but I will repeat that it would be nice if higher level covert ops could understand strogg vsays with subtitles and have a limited number of enemy vsays that they can use, like “yes”, “no”, “haha sucka, you got teabagged!” :lol:

If you liked the W:ET player VO, you shouldn’t be too disappointed.

Actually the W:ET VOs sound like a bunch soft dudes from the Blue Oyster Club compared to the RtCW sounds. So I really hope the QW voices are much better.

For the most cool and laid back VO in any ET map ever get TheRiver II Redux and listen to the Allied VOs 8) 8) 8)

ah, very true. I, for one, don’t have a chance to practice my spoken english very much. Actually, I don’t even know the difference between british and amercian english and I’ll end up happily mixing them both with that italian accent you heard in some mafia movies.

Oh, but with ingame VoIP my pronounciation is going to improve radically. Yes, and when that happens, people at work will admire me for speaking such a good intraweb engrish.
One thing I know for sure: it will definitely be lots of fun :smiley:

I guess it will be off by default (like in Dungeons & Dragons Online, if I don’t go wrong).
Most people would probably continue to use their favorite program, but an internal implementation of VoIP is also good because casual players won’t have to install anything of bother finding a specific server to make a strategy with their (casual) teammates.

I just hope all pre-teens won’t be like this kid. :expressionless:

It would be a pain to record all the different voices, and would no doubt confuse players, but it would be cool to have different accents for the GDF depending on where in the world the level is meant to be.

Maybe a mod for someone to create. :slight_smile:

hmm it would be really stupid to have lots of different accents for the soldiers. Realistically, why would a GDF mix troops of different nationalities? A real GDF would have a number of armies from each nation, all operating under the GDF command. (Like NATO, UN, etc)

And with USA spending more than all the other countries added up now, it makes perfect sense that the yanks are fighting with all the high tech stuff in the future :slight_smile:
