(Gringo) #22

Errol be the mastermind behind all the great tunes at our site!

(ayatollah) #23

I can’t take credit for it, that is Herr ErrolFlynn’s doing!

Really? I’ve played countless hours of QWTF, went straight to RTCW on release, then to ET on release. Funny that it looks like I’m ‘new’ to ET to you. Maybe I’m not involved with your own particular community references since I don’t live on a country where english’s the official language, but please tell me why that makes me ‘new to Enemy Territory’.

It’s just an old vsay joke, just as “Call in aunt Hillary!” or “We need a ninja deer!” where the chat text would differ but sound like the spoken text.
Can be fun, if spammed in the correct dose. (Read: once during warmup is enough)

(Danyboy) #29

Call in aunt Hillary - aaaah its a classic

(P4nth3r) #33

We need a ninja here

(Bongoboy) #34

“Move!”
“Move!”
“Moo!”

I could have sworn that at one point we had “Fire at Wils!”

(Joe999) #35

lol

i bet it will become well known that way if it’s in QW

(Zyklon) #36

Wasn’t it more like:

“Move!”
“Move!”
“Woof!”

(Zyklon) #37

Hm, according to the trailer it seems like there will be rather a ADF than a GDF… Sad.

I would have really wanted some internationality! A brit that says “mate” after each sentence, a french guy wiz a teribell akzent and a dsherman zat talks like he iss constipatid.

(jjpron) #38

At least strogg voice sounds great…

American accent is totally standard.
I mean, it’s a GDF … its understandable why they speak english 'cause it’s propably the most spoken language in the world , but that american accent domination in FPS games really bothers me.
The fact that it’s a global-defence-force also includes that there are different accents amongst the soldiers.

I think it’s quite easy to implement the different accents.
just have some different accents recorded and assign them randomly to the players.
There isn’t even a problem with the models that propably don’t fit to the accent. For example you could make the GDF-sniper (he’s got an helmet wich covers all of his face) an asian guy.

afaik the SD headquarter is locatet in England and your team is international so I could never understand y u would give the GDF a ADF accent wich is - sry4repeating - just standard and boring.

It’s so easy man , you could just have Paul Wedgwood do the recordings for the british Soldiers as we heard in the intervew trailers

How do you know that all accents are American, you have a special finished release from Amazon?
