gad i hate complaints!!!

(Auriel) #1

i’ve never tked, but once, i was on a map, and i had my mines covering all the places allys go, like the fuel depo front gate, and n00bs just kept getting themselves killed! bugga it!
they kept jumping infront of my mg42, and running infront of me when i was firing a panzer!! something needs to be done, cuz i was kicked!!!

i think their should be a no complaints against mines, cuz some just CAN’T be seen, like in the radar map[/b]

(Curly) #2

I’m with ya! If you don’t want to RTFM and are stupid enough to go “check out the pretty flag”, then you deserve to get your ass blow’d up!

(senator) #3

relax, it’s annoying but they will learn. If somebody complains tell them in chat why they houldn’t complain and that complains are only meant for deliberate TKers.

If they seem to be non-understanding, maybe (if you are a FieldOps) they suddenly get no more ammo? Or as a medic you are all of a sudden unable to hit straight with your needle and always miss their body
Than they usually understand that this is a teamgame and it’s no good to piss off teammates.

(Auriel) #4

yah but i do tell em!!! REPEATADLY!!! :weird:

(senator) #5

If he continues to complain, kick/vote him, often that’s the only way they’ll understand it.

(Cosmos) #6

Most people have voted “no” so I take it we don’t complaints on for team mine kills.

(Noodles) #7

Exactly.

I hate it. People I think just do it for the fun of it. They jump on your mines, complain and then you end up getting kicked. ARGH

It’s stupid.

(kvilli) #8

Life would be easier if complaint popup would be disabled by default.

(Hint: It can disabled manually from the Options menu)

(Cosmos) #9

Yes, I have taken the complaint box off altogether. If some guy does need to be voted off I will type in /vote yes

(Brinkman) #10

land mines complaints are stupid. it’s not even really a TK because they were the ones that killed themselves

like you cant file a complaint against the ground if you creator…

the land mine flags are clearly stated… if they walk on them then it’s their own fault…

(Cosmos) #11

the land mine flags are clearly stated… if they walk on them then it’s their own fault…

Like I have said before, the engineer should be able to complain on the idiot walking over them… maybe they are given a few a few chances before the complaint box is allowed to come up because its simply just wasting the engineers resources and time.

(bogs) #12

i wont seek out a mine, but I step on one that I didn’t see…

F1!

(senator) #13

Oh, the Troll again, don’t listen to him, he just tries to start flame wars :twak:

(bogs) #14

that’s not what i’m trying to do. but there are a bunch of flamers in these forums who think they can threaten to cut off peoples arms and call people names, and use harsh language just because they disagree with them. Who’s starting it? not me bro.

(Ako) #15

If you’ve got an engr laying mines in door ways, outside your spawn point, or other crappy places then yes you want to be able to complain. If you’re just not watching and hit a mine, don’t complain. But if you die because a mine is in the middle of doorway that is vital, then yes complain!

(bogs) #16

What? That’s the best place for a mine. Don’t complain over that! The ones around blind corners are the ones that make me hit F1. To each their own though. That’s what I say.

If you don’t like complaints go play CS… heh.

(BloodShadow) #17

What I dont understand is when someone, on the gold rush stupid people put mines in front of the exit of the ally way going out to the last tank barrier. It just doesnt make sense to me. I thought of it preventing spawn killers…But people who try to go into the spawn just get killed in 2 seconds anyways, due to the anti spawn killing stuff… Then the idiot had the nerve to say, “Hey dont complain you idiot, you ran into my mine!”. So I replied saying he was the idiot putting the mines, closing off the exit completely… Although there is 2 alternative exits, I still use the ally way because it is the fastest route to the action… It just doenst make sense to me, at all! :banghead:
If this post in unclear to you, I understand…I’m not the best at explaining things. :disgust:

(Swad) #18

No, bogs, you are in fact a troll in regards to this subject matter about filing complaints. It’s not just a difference of opinion. You show a high degree of immaturity with your indiscriminate use of filing complaints. You are a blind zealot for a cause that yields more bad than good. You cannot and will not be convinced of the error in your judgement regardless of any case that is brought to you. You show a lack of capacity to gain a broader understanding of the whole picture and the pros vs cons weighed out in your actions. The whole picture is evidently not visible to you.

Now the big question–why am I arguing a dead end point with you? Time to move on.

(alexwryt) #19

He is right though sometimes it is the engineers fault, like if you are laying mines so that there is no way around them besides jumping over. You should always leave a safe trail through your mine fields that does not require jumping over a mine which is quite difficult to do without setting it off.

(BloodShadow) #20

Personaly I think that people should be smart enough to figure out that you Can in fact jump over mines. So leaving a path in my opinion wouldnt be too good of an idea. Although the odds of a guy randomly finding the path through a mine field is very unlikely. Maybe leaving a path so you can jump over a mine, without landing on another… Another thing that REALLY pisses me off is when im a trying to dissarm a mine, and some idiot b00n runs into the field blindly and blows us both to hell. People should use there head and think of giving me cover fire instead of going rambo into a fucking mine field

And Swad, Very well put, Bravo!

Edit: BtW Jumping over a mine is very simple. All you need to do is run+jump…
