gad i hate complaints!!!

Yeah I know it is simple but noobies will misjudge where the “invisible field” around the flag that sets it off begins and ends the first few times they attempt it, so it is best to not require a jump over in the first place because someone will always mess up the jump.

Indeed, n00bs are a big problem…and they get on my nerves so damn much… Is there a server out there that is actively filled with elite or semi elite gamers? I must be looking in the wrong places or something, because it seems like whenever I join a server it’s filled with n00bs…

Sticks and stones… Namecalling isn’t going to win you the argument.

It’s not just a difference of opinion. You show a high degree of immaturity with your indiscriminate use of filing complaints.

I could say a lot of things are immature. It doesn’t make them go away though. People like me are here to stay. Learn to tolerate your fellow man or you will be fighting this battle for ever, with everyone you meet that you don’t agree with.

You are a blind zealot for a cause that yields more bad than good. You cannot and will not be convinced of the error in your judgement regardless of any case that is brought to you.

Stop shooting me in the back and I won’t complain. That’s the only way I’m going to stop hitting F1. If i never get the chance.

You show a lack of capacity to gain a broader understanding of the whole picture and the pros vs cons weighed out in your actions. The whole picture is evidently not visible to you.

The big picture is this. Friendly fire rules. It makes the game really exciting. But there is no reason to tk people, even by accident. If you don’t have a clear shot, don’t take the shot. Thats the whole point of friendly fire. The other part of the picture is everyone gets mad at complaints. And my point is you all get waaay to mad and take things too seriously. When I get filed against, I deserved it, and I don’t get mad. So who’s being immature. The kid who’s thinking “that jerk! it was an FCKNG ACCIDENT! WHAHAAA” ( and the kid goes on about it for hours afterwords, posts on forums about it, crys to their mom about it)… Or me, who gets filed against and just keeps focused and keeps playing.

I’ll give you credit for your eloquence, but the credit stops there. Most people backing asinine causes fall to profane babbling and unfounded personal jabs (though it seems you are courting subtle personal jabs, but i’ll walk away).

I didnt read any of that reply at all. But this is just common sense. Stfu and stop arguing, just ignore. That seems to be the best thing to avoid a argument.

As for tking, If I tk, which does happen time to time (It happens to everyone, doesnt matter who you are…you are bound to tk sometime or another), I just say sorry with the vsay commands and I havent gotten a complaint filed against me yet. On the other hand, when I am tk’d. I usualy wait for 30 seconds for a sorry in the vsay commands or just regular chat. If there is no sorry within those 30 seconds (which is more than enough time for almost anyone to type in Sorry or press v,4,5 or something) they get a complaint.

I have found SparkyTown II to consistantly have the best players of any server out there, mostly because it is password protected, but it is also empty most of the time for this reason. Still, during the prime time hours there is some intense games there. I don’t think they want their password given out here, but seek out their forum and you will be rewarded.

One of my friends has the pw to that server, yet I dont have the I.P adress. That would be awsome if you could post it. Thanks in advance

(alexwryt) #28

I could do that but they change the password sometimes if noobies spread it around so I suggest you register for their forum at sparkdog.net where you can find the address and the new passowrd.

If complaints were disabled for friendly mine kills, this would be open to abuse from the few players who cause trouble. It’s just another way for them to kill their own team. People would come in a server plant a few mines near spawn area then leave.
The games only been out for a week so let people get used to it first.

Dittos Stee …

Thanks, I’ve been wondering how to do that without the complaint popup.

(Cosmos) #32

Theres only a minority that abuse features so this would benefit most ET players.

A tactic I have been using to avert problems of rookie engineers putting mines in stupid locations (critical doorways etc.) where they hinder their own teams efforts, is to go Medic and then trigger the offending mine at full sprint. If done correctly you wont lose your life. Just make sure not to take anyone else out with the blast. You can also clear enemy mines this way but its risky.

I’m sure I’ve pissed off a few players by doing this but that is my simple response to a problem that used to frustrate me. Now I just deal with the problem and get on with the fight.
