FPS Drops? Let us know your details!

(WhiteWolf) #81

I got a GTX 970, and just get in the last minutes just crazyyy frame drops, i tried everything but when i put my graphics lower it seems to get worse. Is this the game of is this my fault?
I think the game needs some improvements on their optimisation.

(springBagel) #82

seems to get worse and worse if it continues likes this SD will have a second brink, gl working on a outdated engine
I have just found this:

crossfire.nu/journals/154110/dirty-bomb-stutter-fix

Maybe it will help! I will try it in the evening…
Tried and the stuttering is gone! But now the fps are going continues down after the half of the match from beginning 120 fps down to about 40 fps and after 1 hour of game play the game freezes and I got the out of video memory message:

Never got this message before…

(misspo) #84

up, dev are you working on a fix concerning theses performances issues?
thx

(WhiteWolf) #85

Lets hope the develepors will fix it fast! This is just no fun to play any more because of this :neutral:

(disciplinedCell) #86

please fix this

(WhiteWolf) #87

I got a fix that worked for me! look in the discussion FRAME DROPS FIX! [07-19-2015]!

(Poldy040) #88

My frame drops are away too! :smiley: I got a message from my ATI Software that a new driver version for my gfx card is available. So I have updated it and additional I have noticed that that my sound card driver was the one from the original CD and therefore really old. So I have updated the sound card driver too! I have a Asus Sonar D2 PCI working in my system. Now I am at stable 80-120 fps, depending on the action on the screen! Only the out of video ram message is still irregular popping up and the game will stop.

(misspo) #89

Realteak driver are well known to be fucking trash… If you completly disable your sound (bios), you will have a boost of fps in any game you play :). So it’s very important to update them and it’s some thing that no every one do.

(Ghosthree3) #90

Yeah it’s pretty messed up that the sound driver can fuck up fps like that. CPU related choke iirc.

(euphoricSoda) #91

I have:
Windows 8.1 (64 Bit)
Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz
16 GB Ballistix RAM DDR3
MSI Z97 GAMING 5 (Motherboard)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (EVGA)
1TB Hard Drive.

Even with these beast components im getting frame drops. The issue:

The frame doesent drop when i’m standing still. Neither in the tutorial map. Neither when there is no players in a server i have realized… Please fix!

(Dwu) #92

Win7, GTX 970, i7-3930k @ 4GHz, 16gb DDR3 Ram.
65-120 fps without one frame delay, graphical settings don’t really matter both potato and max graphics result in the same performance.

(phila_delphia) #93

Somehow consoling that others share the same problem. Pleas be so kind to do something about the performance issues.

Best regards

phila

TRY THIS!

Hello guys/girls,

I have tried to find the fix for a couple days, but what i found out is that for me the fps drops were given by my HUD and minimap.
This is not mine, so credits to the guys who made this.
You can change this in the ShooterUI.ini folder, "MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THAT IN “READ ONLY” in propeties.
And for my i used a costum Enigine file to, for the graphic, i have a GTX 970 but this worked the best for me so far, no more frame drops!

You can find it here: Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config

Try to find this “[ShooterGame.SGUIHUDPlayer]” and make sure that you replace all the same things with the text below.

My full UI and ENGINE you can find here: https://www.mediafire.com/?5ctu8w96ezwnbl7

— HUD fix (This wil change your HUD a little bit! but you will keep your nessecery stuff) —
Full config here: http://www.taggers.eu/db/tags/2450/temporary_dirty_bomb_fix_for_fps_drops_and_lag

And try to find: “[ShooterGame.SGUIHUDMiniMap]”

and replace it all with:

m_DisplayPawnRequests=false
m_ClampObjectives=false
m_ClampAllied=false
m_ClampPawnRequests=false
m_MinimapPollThreshold=0
Hope this will work for you guys!
It worked sure for me and this plays allot better!

I have the same issue …
Just tried the possible fix by WhiteWolf above, didn’t do anything.

i7 860 @ 2.8Ghz (ran at 4.2Ghz for 5 years, but my MB is giving up on me since January and the whole thing BSOD if I let “idle state”, “turbo” or any OC on. All is fine in every other game)
ASUS Maximus 3 Formula
GTX670 Gigabyte WF3

The frametime gets crazy in this game, leading to almost unplayable stuttering. In my case it frequently starts in the first match.

After being in closed Beta for so long, with such widespread engine, I’d say it’s unacceptable to be in such state !! :o

The game needs fixing on some aspects, like nonworking augments and various bugs !
It’s a pretty good free2play FPS, don’t let it sink on stupid problems. :wink:

Didnt worked for you? did u try to replace your UI and engine files with the mine? and then set it to read only in propeties? for me this was the solution. The settings wil auto go to low and u will be playing smoothly ^^ (for me then)

(Cr4zy) #97

I’ve noticed lately that at the start of every match my GPU usage is fine as is my FPS. 120+FPS with 98% usage, but give it less than a minute and as soon as stuff starts to actually happen the GPU usage plummets and as such the FPS tanks to ~100avg and frequent drops below 60 and dips to less than 30…

So for what ever reason something in the game causes the GPU to just start sucking, I don’t know what it is, minimap being on or off doesn’t seem to help me at all.

7 games in a row shows that GPU usage/FPS peaks as the game starts after the 200FPS menu sections but a minute after the game begins the framerate is a stuttery mess.

5960X @ 4.6GHz
32GB DDR4
SLI GTX980 (only using single card in DB at the moment as no gains from 2)
Game and windows on separate SSDs
Windows 8.1

No cfg edits just default “low” options in-game, fresh install changes nothing. Game just performs terribly.

Ok, great news ; IT WORKS !! :smiley:

Changing the numbers did nothing positive, but switching whole files with yours didd actually work !
No stuttering anymore, but damn that “new” UI is soooo bad :wink:

Thx !

PS: to the devs, there are workarounds, but you better not use these as excuses to push it back.
I’ve already seen people turn away from your game for that very problem.
You better FIX IT ASAP ! It’s been months !!!

(misspo) #99

Hi, i’m curious, could you try EVGA Precision X with k boost enable?
If force the gpu to use his maximum.

(Dwu) #100

Since the latest patch, ive experienced horrendous framedrops. Literally everytime I turn theres a major fps drop related to amount of angles turned. Drops even down to 40 FPS with one frame delay enabled.

Win7, GTX 970, i7-3930k @ 4GHz, 16gb DDR3 Ram.
