ETQW Frag Movie - 'Thats What You Get'

Hey guyzzzz, I have a new frag movie I have been working on lately and it’s finally finished.

The movie is called “That’s What You Get” just a catch phrase I started when I came back to playing QW and now people like lausl seem to repeat it to me all the time in TS so I thought it was an appropriate name to use!

The movie contains frags from Propub/Mixes/PCW’s & official FTML games I have played since returning back to ETQW. I am generally pleased with the overall result there are a few little things I’d try to change or do better but I’m at the stage where I just want to finish it. There are also some moments that do not make sense (Nade on Sewer vs 40%) but just go with it!:smiley:

Nice! One thing which I thought looked weird was the snipe at 2:20~ , just the post fx bullet curving looked weird to me :o Looks like that and the nade vs 40% were inspired by ClaYmaN’s Incorparated 2?

Thanks guys, aha yea the curving i think was down to me watching The Wanted before hand :smiley: and actually no neither were inspired by Incorporated 2… awkwarddddd!

GDF nade for strogg??? Huehuehue. ETQW does have curved bullets now though, so it is quite accurate.

All through the video I was thinking, what the hell does “TWYG” mean in the corner lol…

Nice video Samu! I still remember that moment when on salvage we clear the laser, and Apoc just did 3 headshots in a row xD
Think, soon I’ll ask U, Rex & Kordin about some discussions on movie editing and fixing many problems ;]

Nice movie samu! nice frags and music :smiley: love the double pistol on salvage first spawn.
Try not to use Pub frags , id rather watch 2 min of real matches then pub frags… and yes its hard in etqw because its not really that active.

if anyone wants here is some tutorials for movie editing in general(sony vegas vdub and stuff), its for mainly for W:ET/RTCW but the movie editing is similiar i think:

Only the first clip on volcano was from Pro Pub, all the rest were against teams in PCW’s or Officials. If you meant you wanted pure official’s then i think i have like 4 demo’s of official’s which wouldn’t make for a good movie, but i understand what you are trying to say.

Are you talking about sewer indoors @3:50? its meant to be a stary effect to go with the music which changes!!

And thanks for the positive feedback, i tried to put a download link overnight but it failed and own3d.tv doesn’t like my format in .mp4 so anyone got any ideas of a good site for you to download from. & i will try fix own3d.tv aswell.

Very nice movie ! I still prefered " the last samurai " , I can’t really say why but there was an awesome atmosphere there, with the dark graphics and the particular sound… well this one is impressive :slight_smile:

Yeah nice movie Samurai, I did think morphing the shrap to a nade was a bit odd like Inferno said :wink:

iirc .wma files upload fine to own3d.tv, but you’ll lose quiet a bit of quality if you convert it. I think mediafire’s a good download site.

yea im trying different formats for own3d.tv and i think i might try using jumbofiles.com to host it… suggested by Khamul in irc.

Edit: Download link is now provided for movie in 1920x1080 :slight_smile: let me know if there are any problems.
