You’re wrong.
ETkey is not based on hardware or software that’s why it’s pretty much useless to ban only on ETkey as you can get a new one in under 30 seconds.

So if you’ve lost your ETkey an never made a backup, on a USB drive or anything else then it’s LOST aka there is no way to retrieve it.

Well there is a very deceiving point in this. More XP doesn’t neccessarily mean you will have more abilities or you will hit better. There is just skilllevels what is counting, and when you raise in one of them, you will get a reward like more stamina. The overall XP number actually doesn’t mean anything at a certain point.

However it shouldn’t actually take too much time to remax in skilllevels again, except you play on kernwaffe where skilllevels are set to extremely high to make people come back :slight_smile:

Hey guys… same problem like in 2009…
i´ve brought a new pc 2 years ago. now i installed wolfenstein-enemy territory.
after downloading lots of sound und skin packs from any server… -.- the failure message:
if server disconnected for “emty cd Key not allowed this server” or “restriction service communication failure: Pnkbstra.exe”,
visit #etkey.org# to fix it. <–Done
There i found:

Since they dropped the support, some issues occoured to the world of Enemy Territory:
The pb-masterserver for ET went offline which results in:
no new ETKEYs were generated
no ETKEY validation available
no global Punkbuster bans
Also the Punkbusterinstaller isn`t able to install the neccessary files for Enemy Territory
For all this problems some nice guys are trying to find a solution.

Here is a utility that resolves the etkey, but also updates your et memory settings, and fixes windows 7 issues
it also locks the etkey, because xfire can delete it.

Done! Nothing changed… i installed this mysterious file and it is the same at all :>
(Windows 7. “etkey” file was generated in etmain…)
