This is a New Build of Enemy Territory that has new Features and Fixes Some Minor Bugs

[u]ET Gold 2.71[/u]
Improved the Rendering Engine, there is now a 10% or more Increase in FPS
Faster PK3 Loading
Added Mouse Acceleration ( Enable with cl_mouseAccel )
Fixed Sound Looping
Added HD Resolutions ( r_mode “11” = 720HD , r_mode “12” = 1080HD)
also added cvar “listmodes” to view the list of r_modes
Increase Default com_hunkmegs to 96MB
Small Fix with Alpha Textures
Changed r_customwidth and r_customheight to “r_width” and “r_height”
Added a New cvar called “which” Command from ioquake3
Removed GL_Extensions and Pk3 Loading Spam from the Console, the Console should be easier to navigate
Removed old quake3 BOT Cvars from the Console
Fixed a Bug with skyboxes with ATI Cards
Increased the Limit of cl_maxpackets to “125”

Unlocked BSP Versioning, Quake 3 Maps will work with ET
Fixed “Power of 2 Scaled” Bug, Images no longer need to be power of 2
Cap the maximum snaps a client can request at the server framerate

If Server is “sv_fps 20” then clients can only send “20” snaps at the time.(ioquake3)
compensated sv_fps for timescale value.

Fix flashing connect screen
Fix Remotely exploitable Infostring Crash (Luigi Auriemma)
Fix hanging client when map_restart executed on the server while client is still loading the map (ioquake)
Fix commands sent to client when disconnected (ioquake)
Fix a bug with command/cvar autocompletion

etgold generates it own etkey called goldkey in the etmain, XP will save but you have to start over again

nope, and i deleted that stupid “image not power of 2 scaled” flaw from the ET Engine, which means you can use 126x754 textures

Well most likely the maps are just ‘playable’ aka you can load the map.
But the weapon / ammo / health spawns won’t work probably.

I tried to host the etPro server and received this error :frowning: The same with connecting to a dedicated etPro server.

With No Quarter 1.2.9, my game just turn off.

It will only work on servers that have no punk-buster and nq129 is not supported because that mod is broken.

Punkbuster requires a License, therefore ET Gold does not and will never have Punkbuster, if a Server is well managed like WF Server, then there is no need for Punkbuster, and don’t forget the added lag.

But there is no doc in zip file, just ETGold.exe and ETGoldDED.exe.
How to install it on a server ? Just replacing the binary ? Just for etmain or all mods ?

the link at the top does not play Quake3 maps yet, i will release that as version 2.72 later this week

ETGold works the same way as Regular ET

OK thx ! But client-side, players need ET.exe or ETGold.exe ?

And … I also use a Pentium!!! to host home server loooool (but 100% dedicated - probably the same CPU power as a virtual server on a QuadCore running 20 servers on the same O/S and on the same LAN …)

Great that you take care of patching ET! Where I can find the best source of Q3 maps and RTCW?
The other question is that the bots will work on them properly?
