Thats true about the goal to update the renderer. Though, to demonstrate you all the capabilities of the engine and not only showing you ingame screenshots of the current vanilla ET maps and assets with just bloom and HDR enabled, it’s necessary that ET-XreaL, rather the OpenTerritory project which will later features “the finest” of the ET-XreaL (renderer part) and ioquake3/iowolfet parts (bugfixes, general enhancements) can count on
mappers, artists, and modding enthusiasts
, like DerSaidin said and as more people gonna contribute to this project, as sooner you will find something play and hopefully satisfiable on your harddisk.
