I can show you some screenshots, what basic XreaL can do. These, however are not from ET-XreaL, but once finished, ET-XreaL should look the same.

But take note that screenshots of code43uw (xreal fork) are in the same map as TCE 0.49b screens.

Hey,
For what it’s worth, here are some more shots of q3XReal in action:
As sxy said, ETXReal should look the same once tr3b completes the renderer port. (if he hasn’t already)
These are from Weaver, another xreal based game. DerSaidin is the lead dev, he did a bunch of ET mapping back in the day afaik.

Do you already know when there will be a public release or when mappers get the opportunity to build some maps with it to be finish with it, when ET:XReal will be released??

The xreal renderer is what sets it apart from other idtech3 based games. The renderer is pretty much finished. Most of Tr3b’s work is currently on optimization and bug fixes.

The thing holding these games back from release is lack of artwork. Theres no point in doing a release with idtech3 artwork. Because its not going to do justice to the renderer - you might as well just go play ET.
Theres no point in releasing without assets of sufficient quality.

So if you want to see these games released sooner, pick one and ask to help out!

But i thought the ET: Xreal project was only updating the renderer and bug fixes? so no artwork etc needed?

When I see a project with some really enthusiastic people then I might help out… Most projects I’ve watched so far just release a few progress shots every blue moon of stuff that could literally have been done in a matter of week(s)
