Hi,
just a little suggestion:
Please use W:ET (or RTCW:ET) or ET:QW (or QW) in topics and in threads.
So everyone can clearly see which game you are talking about.
Thnx.

ET=W:ET
QW=ET:QW
RTCW=RTCW:ET
We would call them with the first of the pairs. I’m in habbit on calling wolfet ET so I will remain using it.
RTCW:ET does not exist.
RtCW does, and W:ET does, but there is no RTCW:ET
I agree on the QW = quakeworld thing btw!

Wolfenstien: Enemy Terriory. I’d prefer that game over ETQW any day of the year.
If that was made there would be atleast one excuse.
“Quake wars is a copy of battlefeild!!”
I hate it when people say that :roll:
Edit: in this case they would say its a copy of UT2004 because of its vechile single player

no it isn’t! ETQW is more unique than BF2142 or any other one in the series.
For Wankel Onbegrijpelijk Wrattenspel.
It’s dutch… It generally means that WoW sucks, just my opinion.

but its true
and BF2142 is so much better anyways.
but wasn’t QW announced well before BF2142 and EA just rushed out a “modded” version of BF2 with futuristic setting in order to beat QW to release, thus fooling eveyone into thinking QW is a copy of BF2142 and not the other way around (seems to have worked) :banghead:
so…?
BF2142 was out much earlier so i pretty much doubt this story is true.
even if it would be true Bf2142 is still better, cuz of a lot reasons.
i tried both, hated QW, loved BF but havent bought any of them (pc too weak, no money to upgrade/buy the game).
Well, there was no sign of BF2142 when ET:QW was announced… and suddenly, there it was having a pretty unstable open beta/demo and being released with most of that stuff intact.
Now, I don’t say you should like ET:QW over BF2142, because they are different games (although with similar themes) and as such can’t be copies.
However, it is a fact that ET:QW took longer to make and thus got more thought about game play. Also, I think it’s rare to find a design team which is so committed to its community like Splash Damage is. Did Dice release the game source? I thought not.
