No Dice didn’t release the source…They took the source and made Battlefield Heroes…A copy of TF2. They’re good at this aren’t they!
ET: W:ET or ET:QW?
Stupid jerks at EA. They copy, or rush to make shitty games. :banghead:
This is how I roll with the acronyms
RTCW = Return to castle wolfenstein
W:ET = ET = Wolfenstein Enemy Territory
ETQW = QW = Quake Wars = Enemy Territory Quake Wars
Quake = Quake 1 = Quakeworld
I’m saying Quakeworld is Quake, well because IMO is pretty similar to the original quake, with the differences in graphics, and that client server thing.
So what is the difference in naming of W:ET, and ETQW for me?
Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is usually ET when said, and W:ET when typed.
Enemy Territory Quake Wars is usually Quake wars when said, and ETQW when typed.
Don’t forget, ET could mean many things.
Things like:
Extraterrestrial
Entertainment Tonight
Some dude’s initials
Sam Cassell
ET or wolfet = Wolfenstein ET
QW or ETQW = ETQW
RtCW = RtCW
ETQW is pretty nice too, but I stay away from it due to the low 32 player limit…
WoW means “Wheels of Wars” in my dictionary…
but yeah, often it gets confusing when people mean to talk about et and say rtcw:et(THIS DOES NOT EXIST)
please dont say that as it confuses me even more than just topics with no info on the game(the insides say almost which game it is).
et= wolfenstein: enemy - territory
etqw= enemy territory: quake wars
rtcw= rtcw
WoW= wheels of war(as this forum has nothing to do with the defamous mmorpg)
like the saying goes: “A topic says a thousand words”
