The grenade throwing and Cannister throwing has to have something done whether it was intented or not. You throw them and they have a mind of their own.

When a player dies theres no animation to it… just suddenly dead on the ground.

And the skipping choppy players and choppiness in general is bad with FPS dropping to 20-30 on most of the map. Doesn’t matter what server, if in a small room or open area, good or bad frame rate, or good/bad ping. Its a major slide show. I’ve tried stripping all my settings down (which i wouldn’t do or want to do) and no help.

There voices could use a bit of tweaking.

Hope the choppiness and Frame rate issues can be resolved cause ET will rock if it can.

Grenades have to be reverted. The new physics are, above all defacing comments i could make, un-FUN to play with.

That your official bug list doesn’t address uninterpolated, lag mimicking, un-smooth player movement is very disturbing. Obviously you know about it. 5 seconds of play on any server would make it obvious to you. Please fix it before the next release.

I also, as a gameplay concern, STRONGLY suggest that you return the mp40 and thompson to their original fire rate and damage potentials, on the grounds that the changes made ADD nothing to gameplay, and SUBTRACT nothing from gameplay; serving only to throw off the feel for aim of persons who play RTCW. — The ‘time to death’ period seems completely unchanged by the alteration. So, all that you’ve accomplished is to cause trouble in adjusting between the two engines.

Please don’t alienate the wolfenstein playerbase unnecessarily.

If the choice is between playing et and ruining my rtcw aim, or not playing et at all. I’ll not play.

you really aint that smart are ya? they said it before…but ill say it again…the “leaked” version had that bug…if you download the new version (the officialy released one) the bug will be gone…same for some other bugs and youll get way more servers…

reyalp the garand has to be empty to reload, it’s intended and every ww2 game has the same feature. Don’t worry about that it’s intentional.

hello,

i have probs with the voice-chat. Not with the sounds,but how i see them on my display.
there are too small. it looks like battlefield.
in rtcw the size for the shown messages( like “Medic” or “i need ammo”)
was perfekt.
please change it.
at the moment its not good for teamplay.

In the Loading screen of enemy territory gives it a small bug in point of the national borders from 1938-45 in europe. Austria belonged in the time before 1945 to the German Reich, and “East Prussia” belonged to Germany. It is not green like the other parts of germany or western europe

I have a Pentium4 2,6 GHz 512 DD RAM and a Radeon 9600 XT graphic card running with Windows XP and there’s a lot of trouble with the game

I use the newest Drivers but it doesn’t help

At the beginning the game worked but every ~30 Sec there was a big lag but within the game not cause of my connection ( ping 40 ). During this time the screen shook and i couldn’t open any menu, also the sound is interrupted during this time. After about 4 games the game broke down completely, that means when i join a server the map is loaded and extactly when the game is going to start there comes a critical error warning and i’m back in windows mode

some new installations and other drivers for the Radeon 9600 didn’t help too, so the stage of affairs is that i can’t play the demo with this system

btw RTCW runs fine, so it has to do with any new feature of ET

just a balance issue:

the level 3 field ops promotion seems a little useless, the delay on the 2nd airstrike is like 1 second at the most, and it follows the exact same path of the previous airstrike, if not close to.

what i suggest is either increasing the delay to 3-4 seconds, or preferably just the 1 second delay or even 0 seconds and have both of them strike prependicular to each other.

Im having FPS issues also. My comp:

p4 2.6ghz
512mb pc-1066 rdram
geforce fx 5800 ultra

i ran the game once at its lowest settings, and the framerate was 12 fps!! i changed the com_maxfps to 999 and it jumped to 14 fps!!! i hope to that Splash Damage is working on optimizing the engine before they officially release the full product.

Strange, I get much better than that with a 1.4ghz athlon xp and gf2 ti, running at reasonable detail. Drops down to maybe 20 at the lowest in heavy combat.

Another bug:
The sounds don’t seem to mix nearly as well as wolf, and often get dropped completely. For example, if you vsay something, it sometimes just doesn’t play the sound, or will be cut off in the middle. This happens even when there is not a lot going on. Wolf would do this occasionly at very low FPS, but in ET this happens at high FPS as well.

I have an AMD Athlon XP1900+/512mb RAM/ATI Radeon 9700 pro, I’m running in 1600x1200 with the highest detail level and I’m at a steady 75 FPS. I’m cool like that.

That beeing said the lag is horrible and my rate setting is fine. So I guess it’s either the game that is a little too much bandwidth intensive or every server I played on was run on crappy connections. The test just came out so I guess it’ll take a couple of days for quality servers to show up, but still, I haven’t seen lag that bad since Quakeworld.

I would also like to cast my vote for “The grenades blow” (lame pun intended). I’m a grenade freak. I love them grenades and I use em all the time. I love the grenades in Wolf, I love the grenades in SoF2 even more but these are a major bummer. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that it ruins the game for me but I’m tempted! :wink:

That’s the end of my whine. Besides that the game kicks very large portions of ass. No other multiplayer shooter to date has that much depth and I hope you kids fix my grenades!

Keep up the good work (except for the grenades :P)

i just want to say a thing…

i dont want to repeat most of the things we can read here… et is very cool… lot of newest things… new role’s like cover ops… and the possibility to stole clothes enemies… tanks… new weapons… new mines… and eccetera bla bla bla really i love it is cool…

but 2 things are missing to make this game wonderful and perfect i think…

the first thing i don’t like ( i hate it :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: )

is the granade control system!!! grrrrrrrrrr seems to be a devid beckam feee kick shot with an hand!!! how launch of a granade can have a effect???

and the second thing is also the control system about thompson and mp40… the thompson is so damned slow… i personally kill better with axi’s luger gun…

i think that if the final version they will back to granade&and mp40&thompson control systems like the normal rtcw this game will be soo cool!!! so wonderful!!!

we have to remember also that this is just a beta release version… ehehh my vote is 90\100 !!!

i just hope they will change this…

I don’t think this can really be called a gameplay issue but I’ve had some thoughts about the XP system. For casual playing on pubs I find it a thoroughly exellent idea, it really makes it funnier for most people. But how could this be successful in competitive games? It could cause a force unbalance if the teams are already differently skilled. Perhaps would it be wise to allow an option to disable the XP system if the admins and the leagues want to.
Sorry if that has already mentionned but I think it is wise considering that.

minor “bug”:
When changing the player name from the options menu (options->game) the new name gets set every time a new letter is added/removed,
so setting the name there in game resulst in >many< namechanges on the server.
Depending on the setting Punkbuster will kick for namespamming. :stuck_out_tongue:

a few things:

  1. in the console, if you half type something then close the console the text will remain there next time you bring down the console. meaning you have to delete the entire line. this can get annoying

  2. echo text dosn’t work :\

  3. not so much a bug as a change implemented - why has the queuing function present in rtcw been removed? makes joining full servers more difficult for people that don’t use external server browsers that query the server waiting for a slot.

A couple more:

  • With the changes in throwing physics, if you run backwards and drop packs, you can still end up picking them up before they hit the ground. Not good.

  • you can’t seem to use the vsay menu in limbo.
