I didn’t sift through the 12 pages, but I only have one concern, and that is what perspective or POV will vehicles be?
Me, personally, would love to see a forced first person perspective. One thing I’ve hated from other games with vehicles is the option, or forced third person. IMO, third person in a vehicle gives you way too much of an advantage from an enemy trying to sneak up on you to take you out. It makes vehicles much over powered as they already have high armor/health points and superior firepower. Don’t give them 270-360 degree peripheral vision as well.
And since it’s a wishlist, I would like to see Quake style fragging, not BF2 style fragging. What I mean is, in BF2 (god I hate that game) the avg number of hits to take someone out is like 3-5 rounds, with these erratic spray and pray weapons (and extremely lucky headshots). I miss good ol’ fashioned Quake/UT style of accurate weapons but 20 rounds to take out someone. Relies more on skill with a weapon, than a cone of fire “luck” that might get a headshot from 20 miles away. I have nothing against headshots, but I do have something against random unskilled headshots a la battlefield and call of duty series games. I guess what I’m saying is, don’t make it TOO reality based, but rather keep the feel of Quake in it.
Last but not least, the game looks amazing. Keep up the great work SD and I hope the anticipation I have for this game breathes some life back into gaming for me. Cheers!
