Now that’s preorder…

You may order it now and we will dispatch it to you when we receive it from our supplier. Please note that release dates are subject to change.

not really, that’s just rip-off. they write: This item will be released on October 28, 2005. i also read 01/01/2006 at gamesdomain.yahoo.com and 11/15/2005 at 1up.com, at neoseeker it’s Q2 2006 … all i thought was: if only …

i wonder what’s behind all that especially at amazon? computer error? marketing with the assumption that people still keep the items ordered until they are released?

(kamikazee) #4

Well, they do say the release dates may change.
But whatever, this is a a (fairly) useless topic, ET:QW is released ‘when it’s done’ and certainly not October 28, 2005.

For the accurateness of Amazon release dates you should check this game as reference.

But you can find nice Tapir books there.

(bacon) #6

Well the trailer did say 2006 so I suspect it won’t be out until next summer.

(MadMattUK) #7

We can dream, can’t we. …

Heh, as for the DNFE release date I did see that.

(tephlon) #8

DNFE.

tehehe. The thought makes me giggle. And then cry in pain.

At one point during the development of Wolf:ET we were tempted to just sit around doing nothing, then buy the finished game from Amazon, then send it to Activision for release. This cunning stratagem made a remarkable amount of sense for a disturbingly lengthy period of time. In our defence, we were quite tired, and filled with Belgian beverages.

Hey SD people, id released a “The making of doom”-book, and some other guy (called … David … Koresch?, nah… I cannot remember) wrote an unofficial “the truth behind id”-book (called Masters of Doom).
Any plans to endorse a “behind the scenes at SD” book? I would buy it. You guys established yourselves on a competitive market, some time ago now, initially making, among other things, MarketGarden and Tram siege, and I want to read about that, and many, many other (“behind the scenes”-) things that tickle my imagination. Or… is the truth behind it all to chocking for us to handle?

//L. :eek:

(eRRoLfLyNN) #11

Bah I was gettin all excited too!

@ Loffy, my guess is it’s too shocking, News of the World stuff :moo:

(Sick Boy) #12

You guys sure have a great taste for beverages :drink:

I hear English ale comes from horses. Is that true? :lookaround:

(Joe999) #13

never heard that one, but i heard that english beer is warm, so this could be true

:drink:

(just a player....) #15

WTF PEOPLE WHY IS QW PAY ?? THATS SOO STUPID !

JUST TAKE AN OTHER NAME THE NAME ET SAYS FOR FREE AND FUN SOO MAKE IT FREE PLZ OR A LITLE BIT LESS EXPENSIVE

P.S. WILL IT RELEASE IN BELGIUM TO?

greetz
:moo: Morrons :banghead:

(kamikazee) #16

Was this a joke? If not, here’s the situation:
RTCW:ET was given away since the multiplayer would be abandonned otherwise without a single player. Look at it as a present. It was not intended to be released for free.
If you want a free game, check out America’s Army, now that’s free.

BTW: “Will it release in Belgium too?” If it was free, you’d download it from anywhere. But if you can buy it at Amazon, they send it to you if you pay for it.

(Sauron|EFG) #17

Less expensive than free, or less expensive than what?

(Bongoboy) #18

:expressionless:

(Sauron|EFG) #19

You don’t mind working for free (or a little bit less) do you Bongoboy?

(ouroboro) #20

duke nukem forever is nearly done, btw. actually, it was the homepage of an ET cheat coder where i got the news, lol. i didn’t believe it of course, but it appears true.
