ET:QW 2006 Development Update

Seeing its been a LONG time since there has been any sort of news on ET:QW, can we get an update on the development status? Just the typical updates with a few screenshots and reiteration that ET:QW will totaly ROCK.

Perhaps even tell us what percentage of the game is complete. (This is a really nice way to do it,it lets the community know that SOON it will be done! And if it isn’t done when you planned then you can always say that the latter part of game development always takes longer. :smiley:

Please give us a 2006 Development update! (and a new movie!)

RtCW:ET is cool, but ET:QW = 100X better.

I’d rather watch someone play ET:QW for 1 minuite than play RtCW:ET for an hour and 40 minuites.

Besides, some of us would take any pretext to buy something better than GeForce2 MX.

I already did half a year ago. Changed my Geforce 2 MX400 64MB for a Radeon 9600pro EZ 256 MB… If I would have known that SD was about to release ETQW I would have waited for a good geforce as they are better in openGL…

I don’t think SD can give any update without going past id Software’s and Activision’s smoke screen first. It’s not like these guys own the ET/Quake brand and can come up on the forums and post screenshots they’ve just taken from the game while working on whichever feature they’re at the moment.

Don’t you see how they (SD) don’t even talk about the game here? It’s not on their hands. If you need updates, go ask Activision or id Software.

Yep the TNT ran ET. It was in my PII 350 MHz, 256 MB, Windows XP Pro. I have replaced the card for my old Geforce 2 as i upgraded my other system lately. But the PC ran ET, it was only 8 fps on low though… (Still using the pc, even better I typed this messgae on it :))

You lucky one.
When I still used such a P2, I had to do with 2 FPS. So I thought it was time to get a new pc. :stuck_out_tongue:
(Ok, 20 FPS max when looking closely at a wall)

man, you’re lucky.

In between beatings and dismemberments as a captured so-called ‘spy’ in North Korea, I had to play ET on a machine I hand-built out of parts of cellmates and two digital watches - the original Casio kind. I got 2 pixels per second, but us evens still pwned the odd numbers. Pretty nifty runing on the dual displays though, but that halved the battery life so usually we took turns.

Thats nothing! Ive got 0 FPS on my own made computer when I was only 6 years old and I wanted a pc on my room. Ok, it was a pc i made out of paper :stuck_out_tongue:
